ALTERNATE REALITIES

Content creation: According to the provided materials, use your imagination to make your own animated video; At the end of the competition, all submitted works will be edited into a circular animation like the last challenge. (See the end of the article for how to obtain the material)

Each creator may submit only one complete animation rendering.

Submission deadline: 15:00, June 1, 2021, Beijing Time

Age limit: 12+

Level requirements: No matter you are white, the professionals also encourage you to fly your imagination and actively participate

Available software: MAYA, 3DS Max, Cinema 4D, Houdini, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine

Frames: 1-150

Frame rate: 30 FPS

Resolution: 3840×1620 recommended, not less than 1920×810

Special instructions

After the contest, the blogger will edit all the entries into a collection video. As in previous challenges, walking characters and mountains serve as clues, matching clips to generate looping animations.

  • Therefore, artists should bear in mind when creating: do not move the camera and the character, nor change the focal length of the camera.

  • It is not recommended to change the character’s motion capture data. If necessary, only minor changes can be made to shoulder, arm, and wrist movements.

  • Blur the characters and spheres and add characters while keeping the body and focus of the work on them.

  • Despite the above restrictions, you are free to create your own characters, spheres and scenes

Entries are judged on: rendering quality, detail, composition, use of color, lighting and uniqueness
