The new retail solution of Alibaba Cloud 5G MEC, based on 5G hotspot coverage, will send back video through stable and reliable link, and realize local streaming of video business and local analysis of video AI with the help of MEC, effectively reduce bandwidth load and cloud center pressure, and provide a powerful infrastructure for efficient and intelligent production.
The cloud + network + business integration delivery model also frees the new retail industry from the traditional self-built IT infrastructure and operation and maintenance work, and transforms IT into flexible on-demand edge computing services with one click, which greatly reduces the comprehensive investment cost and simplifies operation and maintenance.
Zhu Zhaoyuan, head of Aliyun Edge Computing, said at the scene that the garment manufacturing industry is a typical industry of new retail, which has been facing pain points such as low informatization degree, long cycle and low efficiency.
Ali Cloud’s new retail solution of 5G MEC based on edge computing builds a bridge between OT (manufacturing data) and IT (ERP data) on the basis of MEC to realize data communication and processing with broadband and narrowband integration. LTE intelligent terminal workstation and AI capabilities are equipped on the edge side to connect with factory MES/ERP system. It can effectively improve worker performance, control quality and testing efficiency, and achieve cost reduction and efficiency increase.
