A, requirements,
1, PC is windows10 professional edition system, hard disk is mechanical 1T, memory 8G; Now buy a new SATA SSD 120G, need to migrate the system of the original mechanical hard disk to the solid disk, the solid disk as the system disk, the machine as the data disk use.
2. Do not consider system reinstallation, only system migration to preserve system related data and relationships such as applications.
2. Confirmation of basic information
The system is windows10 professional edition, CMD command msinfo32 query BIOS mode.
If the UEFI mode is set to UEFI, esp and MSR partitions exist. Esp partition boot needs to be considered.
Esp is an EFI system partition, short for ESP. A COMPUTER that supports EFI mode needs to boot from ESP, and EFI firmware loads EFI boot programs and applications from ESP.
MSR partitions are reserved partitions.
Third, ideas and principles
1. Solid state requires at least 3 partitions, esp boot partition, MSR partition and Windows10 system partition.
2. Clone the system disk of the mechanical hard disk to the solid state Windows10 system partition. Consider CGI one-click backup and recovery tools and Aume Assistant system migration tools.
3. Rebuild the ESP boot file.
Four, the instance,
1, enter the original machine Win10 system, install oumei easy backup software, clone – system clone (system migration), complete the system migration operation as prompted.
2. After logging in to WinPE, use DiskGenius to format the SSD ESP boot partition.
3. Set up ESP boot again, as shown in the figure.
4. Restart the system and check whether it is successful.
5. Confirm no mistake and call it a day.
