Many friends asked me how I got offers from Bytedance, Tencent and Meituan at the same time. Today we’re going to talk a little bit about what other skills big companies value besides technology.
Of course, the big factory’s requirements for technology are also relatively high. The minimum length of working years should be commensurate with the ability you should have. It is not possible that if you work for one year or so, you will have to master P7 or P8 skills, and it is not possible that if you work for 10 years or so, you will only have to master P6 skills. Enter big factory, first of all your working years should match with the ability that should have at least. Note: This means at least, the specific meaning of working years should be at least with the ability to match. It is not impossible for some smart people to work for a year or two and reach the P7 level. In my opinion, working years are not the same as working experience. Working years are just working experience at best. Some people have worked for nearly 10 years and have done a lot of projects, but they are basically CRUD and have no value. Why do you say that? Because of the work done by such people in the past 10 years, a graduate can basically master it in 3 months, and then strengthen it for one or two months, and basically can reach the corresponding level. Therefore, working years are not the same as working experience. To put it simply, I understand that work experience is the ability to solve problems that you develop in the course of your work, and it’s something that other people don’t learn easily, and it’s something that really belongs to you. Many training institutions advocate 4 months to achieve XXX work experience, in my opinion, is bullshit. They don’t understand what work experience is. Of course, through training may be able to master some technology faster, but also can solve some problems faster. However, there is still a long way to go if you want to develop your own work experience and develop a methodology for solving problems by yourself. Entering the big factory is not a matter of a short time. Of course, what I say here is social recruitment, school recruitment is another word. If you want to get into a big factory through your own ability, maybe you can get in through training institutions, but I think some training institutions are really useless. Why? Take a look at the picture. Therefore, I advocate more accumulation and summary in daily work to form a set of methodology to solve problems by myself. As long as the summary in the normal work process is in place, it is very natural to enter the big factory. Rather than wait until want to enter the big factory, to find a variety of interview questions and experience to prepare at the last minute, through this way into the big factory probability is very low!
In addition to high requirements on technical ability of technicians, big factories also have high requirements on personal learning ability, ability to quickly locate and solve problems, scene analysis ability, business understanding ability, and analysis ability of potential problems. In essence, these are the skills that a technical person really needs to master, and they can’t be acquired through a few months of training.
In short, large factories have a large user volume and complex business. Based on their own business considerations, large factories have higher requirements for interviewees. As a technician, if he or she wants to enter a large factory, he or she needs to pay attention to accumulation and summary in daily work and cultivate various abilities (such as personal learning ability, ability to quickly locate and solve problems, scene analysis ability, business understanding ability, and analysis ability of potential problems mentioned in this paper). As long as the summary in ordinary work is in place, it is very natural to enter the factory.
Finally, Ali’s little sister said I could move after the year.
Ok, that’s enough for today. I’m Glacier. See you next time
