Sometimes we find that Visual Studio has some unexplained problems, such as shortcuts that have changed, smart tips that don’t work, errors that don’t exist, and so on, often as a result of installing plug-ins or accidentally changing Settings. If it is caused by installing a plug-in, it is often better to uninstall the plug-in. If the problem persists after the plug-in is uninstalled or is caused by a change in Settings, it may be time to initialize Visual Studio to fix it.
The initialization method is as follows:
1. Open the command prompt window
2, switch path to IDE (usually in the installation directory “Common7\IDE” directory, such as “D: Program Files Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0\Common7\IDE”)
3. Enter devenv.exe/resetUserData and press Enter.
