After using uTools for a while, this little guy gave it to me to plant grass. Now I hand over all the things that might need a bunch of software to handle. It’s quick and easy to use.

What is uTools?

UTools is a minimalist, plug-in, cross-platform modern desktop software. Create a handy collection of tools with a variety of plugins.

What can it be used for?

At its simplest, uTools can be used as a quick program launcher, supporting English, English hump, Chinese pinyin, pinyin initials to open your local programs. In addition to the program, Win10 and MAC users can also quickly search and open the “control panel” within the fine items. Anyway, as long as you can remember a general name, you can basically type it in and find it.

The plug-in

UTools plug-ins have a little wechat mini program meaning, free integration of plug-ins as needed, through the uTools search box to quickly match the use of the scene, as soon as you run out, so that we can focus on their own work.

Here are some of the plugins I’ve used recently. They’re official, super handy, and highly recommended.

1. The JSON editor

As a programmer, I use JSON formatting validation almost every day. The original way to do this is to copy JSON from code or logs -> open a browser -> beJSON -> endure popup ads -> paste JSON into a text box -> hit Format validation. Now all you have to do is call uTools, retrieve the JSON from the input box, and do the rest (uTools will automatically recognize new content copied within 3 seconds and paste it for you). The plugin will format, color, and convert the Chinese encoding for you.

2. The clipboard

History clipboard, before using uTools, I used CopyLess, which basically meets my needs, but CopyLess does not do a good job of classification retrieval, and after using uTools, I have uninstalled CopyLess.

4. Coding assistant

Encoding assistant supports time conversion, Base64 codec, URL codec, hash encryption, Unicode, UUID, base conversion, HTML escape

5. Intranet penetration

Intranet penetration can map your Intranet services to the Internet, which is convenient for the development environment in the joint adjustment of wechat public number, wechat pay and other third-party callback scenarios. At present, there are a total of 3 nodes, Tencent Cloud Shanghai, Tea cat cloud Hong Kong, China Telecom, the stability can be used at present.

6. Switch hosts

As a developer, in order to coordinate or reproduce the problem, you may need to switch in different environments. If you manually maintain the local hosts, the event will be very troublesome and troublesome. The original has been using SwitchHosts, convenient for me to switch the environment, after using uTools hosts switch plug-in, the function is also powerful 👍
