Ubuntu 17.10 Beta 2 has been released. According to the official release schedule, this is the final Beta before the official release, so there will be no major changes until the official release (October 19th).

This issue has the following updates:

  • A new desktop experience

  • GNOME 3.26 

  • New login and lock screen

  • Ubuntu Dock

  • Wayland is used by default

  • Ubuntu 17.10’s default theme is still Ambiance, but it has made a number of improvements to make it look better
