During the project development process, how does the product manager deliver the prototype to the r&d team?
Common teams use the following methods:
-
1. Product people generate HTML files and package them for technical people
-
2. Use online tools like ink knife to share links online
-
Product danniu, online server, can be shared online
-
4. If you are geek, you can build a file server by yourself and ask product personnel to upload files to the corresponding directory (our company did this before).
Method 1 is a common approach, but it can be cumbersome to use on both sides – it’s normal for prototypes to change frequently, but it’s likely that the product people have issued several updates and the technical people are still working on the old prototypes.
Moreover, technical personnel still do not like to save documents. If you send them in wechat, they will look in wechat. If they cannot find them, they will ask for another copy.
And the HTML generated by Axure, if you use Chrome will prompt you to install plug-ins, you need to change to IE. Some people don’t bother to look behind them once.
Methods 2 and 3 are better, but the files need to be placed in the external server. Small projects are ok, but if it is more important content, or the project information needs to be confidential, it is not suitable. And the question of payment, few companies will reimburse software costs (can’t say no, I have encountered several companies reimburse)
Method 4 is a little more simple, and the management and distribution among projects are a little more troublesome. Product personnel also need to know some technology, using FTP or SSH tools to upload.
Prototype sharing
OAK’s prototype management module in the project management system can be used for prototype sharing, version management, document management and other related functions.
Product personnel can directly package the generated HTML files and upload them to the system, which will generate sharing links.
Project members can access the module directly, or they will access it through a URL.
Create a prototype and share
After entering the prototype module, select the project to create the prototype
Upload the required documents (optional) and the prototype package (HTML file) to complete the upload.
Click “Access Now” to access the prototype. Members of the project can view and access the prototype module.
This link can be shared with customer staff and also accessed.
Prototype update
You can update the prototype as it is modified or changed. After the update, the system will keep the historical version record for historical reference.
By default, 10 historical versions are reserved.
Ps: After updating the prototype, all the content accessed through history and URL is the latest version.
Document management
Generally speaking, the prototype will be equipped with related requirements documents, feature lists and other supporting files, which can be uploaded through file management.
