First of all, Huawei Cloud achieves 100% storage and unloading capacity and storage virtualization with zero loss based on Huawei Cloud Optimum Architecture. High-speed storage network based on RDMA can give full play to the performance of NVME storage cluster, and with tenant level QoS capability, can provide users with high speed and stable cloud storage base.
A new generation of Flash-Native storage engine, using APPEND data layout, intelligent global FTL, support for global wear balance, intelligent garbage data recovery and other new technologies, significantly reduce the SSD write amplification, making the SSD life increased more than 5 times, the reliability of 11 9. Dynamic low delay Flex EC patented algorithm ensures optimal data writing path and achieves 100μs delay. Huawei’s rich technical accumulation in software and multi-core scheduling has solved the locking cost caused by multi-core, and improved the performance of concurrent data access by more than 100 times.
Next-generation low-latency Currenet networking technology that supports PFC-free, full-cloud deployment, native virtualization support, standard Verbs and Sockets interfaces, and custom communication semantic offloading. Through this technology, Huawei Cloud has achieved the deployment capacity of 100,000 nodes in a single cloud storage cluster, the network bandwidth of a single node is up to 400GB, and the P999 long tail delay is reduced by 90%.
In addition, it also needs to be emphasized that Huawei cloud storage security and trusted technology, through dedicated hardware to achieve end-to-end full path DIF, so that the cloud hard disk data zero error, based on the optima card to achieve data full path encryption, and support BYOK customers with their own secret key encryption, to ensure data security and zero leakage.

In terms of performance, the performance of ultra-fast SSD cloud hard disk is more than 3 times higher than the current hot Super IO products, while compared with other cloud manufacturers of the same type of products still maintain the leading performance, its single disk bandwidth is 33% higher, IOPS 28% higher.
Better performance is bound to bring multiple efficiency improvements for more innovative applications. In terms of AI training scenarios, ultra-fast SSD can reduce the iteration period of Huawei Xiaoyi AI model from 1 week to 1 day. In the AR scene, Huawei Hetu achieves centimeter-level positioning and attitude determination within one degree within millisecond by means of ultra-fast SSD, and the user experience is extremely smooth. However, in the more widely used MySQL database scenario, Huawei Cloud Speed SSD can bring about an average performance improvement of about 3 times.
