Earlier today, a user on StackOverflow noticed that the Ant Design project’s GitHub repository address was not accessible and was suspected to have been officially removed. After initial investigation by Ant Design officials, it was determined that the incident was caused by a hacker attack.

Ant Design is an enterprise-class UI Design language and React component library with a large user base in the community. A community user named Jeggy first noticed that Ant Design’s GitHub repository returned 404, and the website was temporarily broken, but it worked fine using NPM.

Ant Design said it had received no advance notice of the removal of the GitHub repository, and that the team was working with GitHub to understand the situation.

After an investigation, Ant Design officials have tentatively determined that the deletion was caused by the hacking of the project’s official GitHub account.

Ant Design is currently working to restore the project’s GitHub repository. Ant Design’s repository on Gitee is still accessible.
