A resume can help you get your foot in the door during the interview process. A good, creative resume can not only increase the impression of the interviewer, but can even help you win the job.
Here, we take a look at seven of the most creative resumes in the history of the Internet.
1. A resume that looks like an Airbnb page
In 2015, Nina Mufleh spent a month creating a beautifully designed resume that looked just like Airbnb’s home page in order to win an interview with the company.

After completing her creative resume, Mufleh tweeted it out to Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky and CMO Jonathan Mildenhall. They responded kindly and were impressed.
As a result, the resume not only won her interviews with Airbnb and several other companies, but also garnered a lot of global attention.
From a recruiter’s perspective, the highlight of Mufleh’s resume is not only how much she loves Airbnb, but how she can help it succeed. In a world where hundreds of generic resumes are returned for every job opening, the ones tailored to your company stand out.
2. A resume that looks like an Amazon product page
In 2013, Web product manager Philippe Dubost was looking for a job. So he wrote an “Amaz-ing” resume that looked like an Amazon product page.
The highlight of Dubost’s resume is his attention to detail. His resume lists his work history and achievements, including running shoes and plane tickets in the “often purchased together” section, so he is an avid runner and traveler.
The resume also has a customer review section, which includes one-star reviews from several of Dubost’s ex-girlfriends.
His trick worked, and Dubost soon landed a job at Birchbox. Of course, when he was hired, he updated his “Amaz-ing” resume — the product was out of stock.
3. A Slideshare resume that has been viewed over 165,000 times
Resumes generally follow the “one page rule,” but in 2011, Ben Wong spent 16 pages on his resume, which has garnered 165,000 page views and clicks.
The great thing about Using Slideshare is that it highlights Wong’s achievements without taking them too seriously.
4. A resume that’s actually a computer game
Most of the time, recruiters need to read the resume, but with Robby Leonardi’s resume, recruiters can play with it.
Leonardi’s resume is actually a computer game in which you learn about his experience and achievements and then pass. It’s very exciting. You can go underwater and check out his skills and catch balloons to see what awards he’s won.
5. A job seeker who sold his services on eBay
Most of the time, job seekers need to sell themselves to companies in order to find a good position. In 2011, Joshua Butler, nearly 18, decided to take a different approach and put himself up for sale on eBay.
Amazingly, Butler ended up winning three bids. Soon after, he was “snapped” away by BGC Partners and became an employee of BGC Partners, where he remains today.
6. A Six-second Vine video resume
Recruiters spend an average of six seconds on a resume, according to the survey. Knowing this, journalist Dawn Siff created a six-second Vine video resume in February 2013.
In Vine, Siff calls itself an “idea machine.” While that may sound like an exaggeration, it’s hard to disagree with her when you think about the idea behind this resume.
A month after Posting her video, Siff got a job at The Economist and is now working at DigitasLBi, the world’s leading digital marketing specialist.
7. A Facebook photo album for recruiters
A resume doesn’t tell the story. In January 2011, Brandon Kleinman discovered that most recruiters check his Facebook account when looking for a job. So he created a Facebook photo album for recruiters to tell them why he would be a good candidate.
In the album, Kleinman lists his skills and accomplishments, and describes himself as a data-driven, creative person. His approach worked, and soon after creating the album, he was hired by TBWA.
