Today, I would like to tell you something about myself. I always say other people’s stories rather than my own personal experience, which makes me feel unconvincing. I want to share with you some of the lessons I’ve learned in recent years, some of the experiences, some of the pitfalls. Generally speaking, I am a failure. I want to share this with you in the hope that you won’t repeat my mistakes and fail.

The pain of old state-owned enterprises

I graduated from Shanghai Normal University in 2014. I was out of my mind at that time, so I listened to my parents and went to an old state-owned enterprise, our local power plant. I regretted it the first day I went. Let me show you the working environment first.

This is the road to work every day, and it’s full of potholes because almost every day you have to go around the train, which is used to carry coal, and the length of the train varies from day to day, sometimes it’s long, sometimes it’s short. If one day is lucky, there is no train stop, can not walk this pothole road.

The whole working environment was, first of all, desolate, utterly desolate, utterly desolate. As desolate as paradise? Good thing you can see the neighborhood two kilometers away.

Then the actual work place, high temperature, high pressure, dirty mess, all kinds of abandoned construction waste, industrial waste piled together.

The whole working environment exudes industrial-focused repression.

Of course, that’s not the most important thing. I work three shifts, I work three shifts, I work three shifts, the day shift (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), the night shift (5 p.m. to 12 p.m.), and the overnight shift (12 p.m. to 8 p.m. the next day) all have one day off, and so on. The picture below is of me and my colleague working under the chimney. I took it for my colleague. I am similar to this.

That’s not the most important thing, the most important thing is the low pay, the oppression of new people, the lack of hope, you see people your parents’ age doing the same job as you for a lifetime.

So I made up my mind from the first day I walked in, I was going to leave.

The price of leaving

At first, when I wanted to leave, my parents were against it, because they thought it was a state-owned enterprise with an iron rice bowl. But with a period of time, my parents also feel there is a problem, according to what my father said, although he and my mother is not a formal job of the self-employed, although get up early and work late, but did not stay up all night ah.

In the end, the reason why my parents supported me to leave was that I was despised for my work. Let my parents thoroughly wake up, the original state-owned enterprises also have pit. I did a lot of work myself, and since I was ready to leave from the beginning, I ran away as soon as my parents agreed.

At that time, I took into account that I was still able to be a programmer. Although I had worked as an undergraduate and wrote code as a graduate student, I knew that AFTER all, I had lost a year in a state-owned enterprise. At that time to find a job, nothing, really troublesome. Out of desperation, I went to an outsourcing company in Beijing recommended by my old classmates. To save money, I stayed with my classmates for a few days and then found a basement for a month.

However, at that time, the salary in the outsourcing company was too low, and the technology was old (C# and Java web), to take advantage of this job is more troublesome.

Fortunately, I met Duan Haitao later. Duan himself opened a training class on big data in Changping. As for my work, I went there to study on Saturday and Sunday. Then in order to facilitate himself and a colleague moved to the village in the city at that time, in the duan teacher’s training class near to live, work on weekdays, weekend classes, now think back to that time is relatively happy and substantial. At that time, the streets of the city village were still very down-to-earth. Later, I heard that it was torn down.

Incidentally, when I was learning About Spark, there was a spark project in my company and I couldn’t find anyone to work on it, so I took it over. In retrospect, the project was pretty simple. Not difficult, taking advantage of this wave of accumulation of technology, I later successfully jumped to Shanghai Pila Software Company. Then I worked there for more than a year, and successively worked on several large and small projects. I learned a lot, my salary was raised, and my vision was also much improved compared to that at the power plant.

Spare a circle to inform fly

Why say, rao circle just go to the news fly, because I graduated because the school is not 211, plus when written test and interview exposed their code ability is not quite line. Flytek didn’t give me a development position at that time, and then I gave up and put in another position to try, think that should have tried.

Later, in October, 2017, my former classmate told me that IFLYtek was recruiting people. I just wanted to go back to my hometown and work, so I sent my resume. After a written test and interview, I was admitted. To tell you the truth, I felt that the efficiency of News fly was really high. In one morning, the written test and interview were all done.

Now looking back, the days in Flytek were very happy and happy. My vision, technology and business skills were greatly improved during that time. Of course, this improvement is relative to my own, I can have such improvement mainly thanks to the colleagues around are all elites and gods of all walks of life.

I have taken pictures of the snow scene in The two consecutive winters in Infofly. The snow scene in infofly park is really beautiful.

To sum up my lesson

1. In the era of market economy, state-owned enterprises are of high quality. Not all iron rice bowls taste good, even if they are “iron rice bowls”. Graduation goes to state-owned enterprise everybody should be careful, want to inquire before go clear. Especially if there’s a pit.

2. For new technology, apart from self-study, attending training classes offered by famous teachers is not an option. We just need to improve our technology, our education and work experience are all true, no fraud, no mental burden. However, it is not recommended that you fake your degree, work experience or project experience. I have seen it done, but many of them have been debunked. The company is not stupid, the interviewer is not stupid, not so easy to fool.

3. It’s really important to improve your horizon, see more and learn more about the industry. If my parents and I at that time of vision is good enough, will not be silly to power plant iron rice bowl as a treasure.

4. How to distinguish old state-owned enterprises is actually very simple. Old state-owned enterprises are mainly concentrated in power generation, coal, metallurgy, manufacturing and other industries, while those like finance, real estate and telecommunications are still good. Choose state-owned enterprises must see the industry, the industry is not even the central enterprise is pit.

5, during the postgraduate period, more exercise their code ability, otherwise when looking for a job really suffer, and during the postgraduate period, if you choose to sign up for a class, systematic learning of some technology is also good, better than work, use the weekend to learn to be more relaxed.

I hope you don’t take the detours I walked through, to avoid the pit I stepped on, that’s all.

As an aside, I had the opportunity to go to a private middle school in Shanghai to be a teacher (I practiced there for more than a year at that time). At that time, my head was out, and I gave up for the so-called state-owned enterprise establishment of the power plant. Now looking back, I think it’s really silly.
