StackOverflow recently released its developer Survey for 2020, which polled 65,000 developers on their favorite languages, overtime, and more. Now let’s look at the data.
- After five years of rising popularity, Python fell from second to third place, TypeScript is now the second most loved language, and Rust remains the most loved language.
- SRE and DevOps specialists remain the highest paid positions;
- 90% of developers will use StackOverflow to solve development problems;
- 75% of developers work overtime — 25% work 1-2 days or more per week;
- Of the respondents, 55.2% identified themselves as back-end developers and 54.9% as full-stack developers;
- 75% of respondents have a bachelor’s degree or above;
