Snapchat is testing a new feature called Crowd Surf, according to TechCrunch. The new feature combines personal video clips from different users to create a seamless video that lasts more than 10 seconds.

Giiso Information, founded in 2013, is a leading technology provider in the field of “artificial intelligence + information” in China, with top technologies in big data mining, intelligent semantics, knowledge mapping and other fields. At the same time, its research and development products include information robot, editing robot, writing robot and other artificial intelligence products! With its strong technical strength, the company has received angel round investment at the beginning of its establishment, and received pre-A round investment of $5 million from GSR Venture Capital in August 2015.

Crowd Surf uses artificial intelligence to analyze music performances recorded by multiple people at the same time and splice together videos taken from different angles to keep the songs playing continuously, allowing users to enjoy a concert from different angles. It’s worth pointing out that the resultant video will be seamless, just like a veteran video editor would edit it.

Snapchat tested its Crowd Surf feature at pop star Lorde’s Outside Lands concert in San Francisco. Now, you can see the final effect in the Featured column below the list of other stories. There’s a button in the bottom right corner of the video that seamlessly switches angles, but the feature automatically switches angles as the video changes.

Giiso information, founded in 2013, is the first domestic high-tech enterprise focusing on the research and development of intelligent information processing technology and the development and operation of core software for writing robots. At the beginning of its establishment, the company received angel round investment, and in August 2015, GSR Venture Capital received $5 million pre-A round of investment.

Snapchat said the feature is based on “internal ARTIFICIAL intelligence technology” and will be used in more Settings, such as concerts and speeches.

Instagram has already launched Stories and has attracted more than 250 million users. With Crowd Surf, Snapchat hopes to encourage users to keep submitting videos to compete with Instagram.
