Six months after graduation, I bought myself a MacBookPro 16. I’m not writing this article to show off. This MacBookPro 16 is the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought for my age.

Mainly want to record some of their own things, such as later old and then look back at their own articles do not know what kind of experience it is. Those of you who are interested can read on, those of you who are not can swipe left/CTRL + W/Command + W.

Why do you want to buy a MacBookPro?

The first time I used MacBookPro was when I was an intern. At that time, the company provided MacBookPro.

In the beginning, it was hard to get used to using the MacBookPro, mainly because the keyboard shortcuts were quite different from Windows (at least in IDEA). What’s more, my colleagues don’t use a mouse for MacBookPros, while I’ve been using Windows for years and rely on a mouse.

So, at first, the MacBookPro didn’t seem as easy to use as expected (many of the interactions were quite different from Windows).

Later used after a period of time, also used to have no mouse notebook, look back at my original Windows notebook. That screen, that trackpad, that AD popup, it just doesn’t work! The MacBookPro really gets better with use.

Once I get used to using the MacBookPro, I’ll be working then, too. It just so happens that all the people I started this year were switching to dells, so I had to return the MacBookPro to the Dell

To be honest, the company’s Dell specs aren’t cheap either, but they don’t always smell as good as the MacBookPro. After using the Dell, I went back to using my mouse. I also signed up for a screen and brought my mouse, keyboard and headphones to work, while the Dell laptop was like a mainframe.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with Dell for daily use, and the performance of the company configuration is enough for me to use. But I always bring my mouse with me to meetings/problem solving/conversations on my laptop, and that trackpad is no match for the MacBookPro.

My Dell also often crashes. After I close the lid of my computer, I go to another floor for a meeting. Open the computer, found dead, that feeling….. Even after I reboot, it updates me.

  • Ever since I switched to MacBookPro, my computer has never turned off again (until it seems to give up, Hahaha)

Usually in the use of time, but also endure various pop-ups (or I use the wrong way, download WPS software? Or balabala’s), there will be pop-ups every day anyway.

In fact, I had the idea of buying MacBookPro on Singles’ Day. At that time, I saw MacBookPro 15, and the lowest price was 13,999 before singles’ Day. I thought: as soon as the MacBookPro hits 13,999 again, I’ll order it.

But there was no sign that the price of the MacBookPro would drop (it was always 14500+) on Nov 11, so I didn’t do it.

Forget about the MacBookPro, let’s cut in on me.

What kind of person am I

First of all, LET me say this: I was not born into a wealthy family. I went to Hangzhou from Guangzhou to work for the sake of making money and developing myself.

I don’t spend a lot of money, I don’t have any ideas about what to eat, and I don’t like playing games (mainly because I played so much when I was younger, I used to play 15 hours a day for a whole summer. I don’t have much need for shelter or clothes.

Generally speaking, I have no special requirements on life. I think I am a casual person. Usually they will not spend money in disorder, but they will not save money.

For example, although I am working now, I have income and expenses. But if you ask me, how much do I earn and how much do I spend each month? To be honest, I really don’t know.

I don’t care how much my electricity bills are, how much my taxes are deducted, how much money I make each month. I don’t care about established facts, and I don’t care too much.

How much electricity I use a month, as long as I think it is time to turn on the air conditioning, I will turn on, should not turn on the air conditioning, how much electricity is how much.

My monthly income is fixed. I don’t need to look at my fixed salary every month.

My dad always worried that I wouldn’t be able to afford a wife. But I was thinking, “There’s no point in worrying now that we have so much money. It doesn’t change anything.”

I’m more interested in something that can be changed and controlled

Take the MacBookPro for example, the lowest price I saw at that time was 13,999, but now I am not willing to buy it at 14,599 on singles’ day.

I could have earned 1000 yuan through my efforts, but now this 1000 yuan due to my laziness, lost, this has to reflect on.

Now my salary is fixed so much, if I work harder, can I get more?

Maybe it’s not a good example, but what I’m trying to say is, “I will spend what I need to spend, and I will save what I can save. All things considered, I consider myself a saver.”

Paradoxically, there’s someone like me out there, right?

In fact, at that time also considered, is it really necessary to spend more than $10 million to buy a computer.

At that time, people in the group are also chatting. What is there to buy on Double Eleven? At that time, group friends also discussed:

For people like me, who don’t care about the monthly rundown, a big part of the reason might be:

  • I’m not married
  • There’s no mortgage pressure (no money for a down payment)
  • I usually have enough money to spend (I don’t use much money in a month) and have some left over each month.

Maybe when I get married? When you have kids? When you have a family of your own? With a mortgage? May also want every month on their own spent how much money, how much money earned…..

Like my age and the above conditions are not met, the pressure of life is not very big. Earning money is also for a better life, so you have to decide to buy.

When I was a child, I would buy my red envelope for the Spring Festival to play with a remote control car, which was found by my family and cursed me half to death. (I really had no toys to play with at that time, and I thought the remote control car was very fun.)

Now when I grow up, I will envy the children who have so many toys, and I have played with my nephew’s remote control car (Hahahha). It is fun, but I have no desire to buy it.

Buy MacBookPro

At that time double 11 plan to buy 15 inches has not been reduced, so did not chop hands. The new 16-inch model was just released on November 11-13, with the original price of 18999 on the official website

At that time, a calculation, education discount to 17,000 + (although I do not have a preferential quota of education, is not a college student).

During that time, I often watched PDD and Dangdang play from 18999 to 17999, from 17999 to 16999. I didn’t do it at that time, because they said, “The price of 16 inch is probably 15000+, keep waiting.”

And so the party will win

On November 28th, the price of PDD has reached 15799. We placed an order then, but the order was cut down. Changed a mobile phone number and equipment to purchase, but was still cut. Ask girlfriend to help buy, still get cut. You get nerfed indefinitely anyway…

Then the price of 15799 didn’t last long, and I left it alone. After a few days, the price of 15599 is a new low, I went to buy, and was cut single.

I often joke with eggs when I buy them:

The 15799 MacBookPro still seems a bit expensive, and my Dell doesn’t seem to freeze, get hot, crash, or pop up a lot these days. Windows smells good.

By December 11th, I saw that the price had reached 14,999. I feel that this price may be the lowest price of this year (although there are not many days left in this year…). . Just ao third new bought a mobile phone number, and then I help AO third to help me a single, and then bought success.

I don’t know what the order cutting algorithm of PDD is, I also used my other mobile phone number (this mobile phone number has never bought anything expensive from PDD), the receiving address and mobile phone number were changed, or they were cut.

After confirming the delivery of computer, also went to buy a notebook bracket. The noon of the Double 12th is here. (It smells good.)

15,000 won’t buy you a square meter, 15,000 won’t buy you a car

But 15000 can buy a top laptop screen, top laptop sound, top usable trackpad, top XXXX, with a good enough system (no pop-up ads, no need to worry about updates, just open the laptop cover, etc.)

In fact, 15000 can also buy many pairs of shoes, many clothes, many snacks, many small accessories, many daily necessities. I can buy a car even with ten macbookPros.

Use MacBookPro

As soon as I picked up my MacBookPro, I checked out some of my favorite software. Fortunately, I have the habit of taking notes, so it was extremely easy and quick to download and configure

  • Chrome (synced with Google account)
  • Netease Cloud Music
  • IDEA (Essential for Java Programmers)
  • Item2 (and associated configuration)
  • Wechat &QQ (Chat software)
  • Typora&ipic (blogging)
  • Baidu cloud web disk
  • SublimeText3 (Editing tools)
  • JDK&Maven (development environment)
  • Gas Mask & Alfred (Mac Utility)
  • Sogou input method

Download things are not a lot of ha, mainly the most important to download, fortunately, the relevant download address, configuration, information have written notes reserved, the operation is still very fast.

There was also a problem with using it: my MacBookPro got stuck

  • As I was typing, I found that the computer couldn’t keep up with my typing speed, and I could see a noticeable delay
  • When I cut wechat and chat, I also found that there was a lag.

I wondered why my MacBookPro was stuck when I bought it, and then I went to upgrade it, but it didn’t seem to work. And then it turns out there are two strange things about the process:

  • WindowServer
  • kernel_task

Went to the Internet search also did not find a better solution, finally do not know where to see to cut the configuration of the graphics card, cut off the card (as for the reason I did not go to find, after all, I use the computer is to save worry, rather than to see why it card).

While this article is always saying that the MacBookPro is good, this is just my opinion, not that Windows is spicy chicken.
