1. Insert the bar chart
First, prepare the raw data: 100% target, 40.53% completion rate. Then select the data area and click “Cluster bar Chart” in the “Insert Bar Chart or Bar Chart” drop-down list in the “Insert Bar Chart” command group under the “Insert” TAB.
Select the chart and click the “Toggle row/column” button in the “Data” command group under the “Design” TAB as follows:
Then double click on the ordinate scale to bring up the “Format axis” window, click the “Axis Options” TAB, and set the “maximum” in the “Boundaries” to “1”.
Then delete the chart title, vertical and horizontal axes. Then select network line and set Line in Fill and Line to Wireless Bar.
Select any column and set Series Overlap to 100% in Series Options.
2. Insert graphics
First click the Shapes drop – down list in the Illustrations command group under the Insert TAB, and then select the Pentagonal pattern in the Basic Shape. Here you can choose the right graphics according to your needs.
Then move the mouse over the cell area. When the mouse becomes a small black cross, hold down the Shift key and drag the mouse to draw a regular pentagon and adjust it to the appropriate size.
Then select the pentagon, right-click to bring up the right-click menu, and select “Size and Properties” to bring up the Settings window. Set “Fill” in “Fill and Lines” to “None fill” and “Width” in “Lines” to “2 pounds”.
Then check Lock aspect ratio under Size and Properties.
Then select the pentagon shape, make a copy, and adjust the size, to 90% of the original size, you can also adjust the size according to your own needs, and then the two pentagon nested together.
Then select the two pentagons, right-click to bring up the right menu, and choose “Combination”.
Then select the combined figure again, make a copy, and fill the second copy with color.
3. Combine bar charts and pentagons
Select the hollow pentagon and press “Ctrl+C” to copy, then select the blue column and press “Ctrl+V” to paste; Then select the solid pentagon and press “Ctrl+C” to copy, then select the orange column and press “Ctrl+V” to paste.
Then double-click on the solid pentagon on the diagram, turn on the Fill and Lines Settings, and check Layer and Scale.
Then adjust the chart to the appropriate size.
4. Add data labels
Then click “Text Box” in the “Text” command group under the “Insert” TAB, then click the left mouse button in the hollow of the pentagon to add the text box, then enter the formula in the edit bar: “= BBB2”, and set the font to “Agency FB” and the size to 32, then adjust to the appropriate position.
