About Mapbox

Mapbox is a mapping technology company based in Washington, DC. We provide customized maps for sites and products including Foursquare, Lonely Planet, Evernote, The Financial Times, The Weather Channel, Snapchat, and many more.

Beyond the basic map display, search, and navigation services, we don’t have many Web, iOS, Android, and Unity developers offering mapping tools and technical support.

Location and navigation, route planning, data visualization, these are all features that we are developing and using; Autonomous driving, artificial intelligence, virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR) are areas we explore and engage in; At the same time, we are also concerned about the application of post-disaster relief, socio-economic research and other technologies at the social level.

At the end of 2016, we opened an office in Shanghai.

In 2017, we received a $164 million investment from SoftBank and launched some new initiatives in China.
