1, the preface
Markdown editor
Markdown has been around since 2004, but it’s been a bit of a niche until now, and it’s taken off in the last few years as the platform has grown. The Markdown editor uses a format markup language to format and display document content. Markdown has very few tags, with only about ten commonly used, and is a very lightweight markup language.
The Markdown editor is a favorite of techies. Markdown can be used to write documentation that is common to many technology platforms. Markdown can be used to write technical blogs, making instructions and code very clear to read; Markdown format is easy to convert, and you can easily convert text to HTML, PDF, and more.
Markdown editor classification
Depending on the context in which the Markdown editor is used, they can be grouped into three categories.
-
Platform integration tools: writing tools of major online blogs and community platforms, such as CSDN, Blog Garden, Jane book, etc.
-
Independent software: independent products downloaded to use on your own machine, you can edit local files, such as Mou, MarkdownEditor, Haroopad, etc.
-
Plugin classes: they are not available on their own and can be installed in your existing major editors to enable Markdown functionality in existing editors such as Atom, WebStorm, Sublime Text, etc.
These three types of software are targeted at three types of Markdown users, who can choose to use them according to their own needs.
