Today, the company took out two notebooks from the safe and asked me to repair them. All of a sudden, 10,000 sheep rushed through my heart. I was engaged in development, not repairing computers. But there is no way, who called me more easy to talk, compromise…
The preparatory work
2. A factory reset will wipe the hard drive data and require the transfer of all files on the hard drive
Method 1: Online installation
In this way, it is relatively straightforward to download the system package through the Internet and install it online. However, the download and installation time depends on the network speed and hardware.
- Restart the Mac and press Command+R or Command+Option+R to enter OS X utilities. If not, shut down the computer. Press Command+Option+R at the same time and start the computer. Some older models do not support online recovery;
- Click the fourth option, “Disk Tools,” to continue;
- Select the hard drive, click the Erase TAB, select Mac OS Extensions (Logging) format, enter the hard drive name Macintosh HD, and click Erase.
- Click “Disk Tools” – “Exit Disk Tools” and click “Reinstall OS X”.
- Click “Continue” to download and install. It will take a long time, so you need to be patient.
- Select the hard drive and click “Install”.
That’s how you reinstall Mac OS X by restoring it to factory Settings. The installation process is fully automatic, and you don’t need to press any buttons. You can touch the touchpad to see the progress.
Method 2: Install using a USB flash drive
I prefer this one because the system version can be customized and installed independently of the network.
Prepare a USB flash drive of no less than 8 GB in advance and use the disk tool to operate the usb flash drive named USB01 in the sequence shown in the figure.
Use the CreateInstallMedia command recommended by Apple
Conditions: If you have downloaded Install OS X El Capitan. App from the App Store or obtained the App installation package (usually in a DMG image) from another source (such as a shared web disk), follow the following steps:
1, open the terminal, and then choose one of the following two methods
Method 1 :(suitable for xiaobai)
Prerequisites: The downloaded original installation package (OS X El Capitan is displayed in Chinese, and the file name is Install OS X El Capitan.app) is stored in the application program folder by default, and the USB flash drive is named USB01.
Copy and paste the following commands to the terminal:
Copy the code
sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia –volume /Volumes/USB01 –applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app –nointeraction
> command description: > sudoRun the following command to obtain superuser permission
/Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia # specified path for/Applications/Install OS X El Capitan. The app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia in this "create installation media" program, The backslash "\" before the space in the file name of a path is an escape character to distinguish "space in the file name" from "space between arguments on the command line".
--volume # This option requires you to specify which volume to create the installation media (usb flash drive).
/Volumes/USB01 The path to the installation disk (USB drive) you want to create
--applicationpath This option requires you to specify the path to the OS X installation package written to the USB flash drive
/Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app # Specifies the path of the system installation package to be written to the USB flash drive
--nointeraction # This option indicates that there is no interaction during running the createInstallMedia program. If you don't use this option, a prompt may pop up telling you what to do next. If you are sure, press Y and press Enter to continue.
Copy the code
Method 2: Enter the command + manually drag terminal operation (obviously complicated, suitable for the master familiar with the terminal).
This method does not limit the path, file name, and version of the installation package Install OS X El Capitan.app (as long as the version >=10.9 OS X app installation package), even the installation package can be stored on the portable hard disk. A USB drive doesn’t have to be called USB01.
Process:
(1) Input
Copy the code
Sudo Spaces
> (2) Open Finder, find Install OS X El Capitan.app, Location to Install OS X El Capitan. App (right click display package content)/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia, led createinstallmedia into a terminal; > (3) Then type > '--volume spaceCopy the code
(4) Then drag the USB disk into the terminal; (5) Then enter
Copy the code
– applicationpath Spaces
> (6) Drag Install OS X El Capitan.app to terminal; > (7) Then enter > '--nointeractionCopy the code
At this point, the command in the terminal is similar to method 1, except that the associated path may be different.
2. Enter. 3. Enter the current password and press Enter. 4, wait for ten to dozens of minutes (depending on the hardware), until there is
Making disk bootable...
Copying boot files...
Copy complete.
Done.
Copy the code
As shown in the figure:
The INSTALLATION USB flash drive is made.
The installation
2. Select the USB flash drive you just created. 3. OS X could not be installed on your computer. No packages were eligible for install. Error message. The system time needs to be reset. The specific steps are: Click utilities-terminal on the top menu bar to enter the Terminal interface. Then enter the command date {month}{day}{hour}{minute}{year} for example, the command at 17:40 on February 5, 2017 is date 0205174017.
