Reality Capture

The cause of

Reality Capture is a 3D model making software that can help users make and edit 3D models. It is mainly used in game development and some model design fields. The 3D models produced are very detailed

As for how I learned about this software, it was because I saw an article on the official account of wechat at that time. I thought it was very interesting, so I downloaded and installed one to try it.

But I’ve learned a little bit about Three js before, and this is a nice discovery.

Software installation

When it comes to a piece of software, it’s inevitable to install and download the software.

It can be downloaded directly from the Reality Capture website, but the software is available for a fee and is not cheap (for individuals)

Software installation

After obtaining the download file of the software, you can click to install it

  1. Enter the installation screen, click Next to go to the next step

  1. Check accept agreement, and then next

  1. You can change the file installation location and then go to the next step

  1. Click Install to install

  1. After the installation, the Reality Capture icon is now on the desktop

  1. Click the icon to open the new interface

  1. At the top is the work layout bar, which allows you to control different work layouts

Application layout: Understand the application layout

Reality Capture provides several layouts that are optimized to perform different tasks.

Change the layout

To change the layout, select the App with Workflow TAB and select the submenu in app Layout under the desired layout options panel. You can also change the layout by clicking on a corresponding layout icon in the shortcut bar of the application window.

Adjust the size

To resize a layout’s cells, simply drag an edge between two cells and move it. Drag and move join points to change the size of all adjacent cells.

Save and reset the layout

Automatically saves the application layout when the application exits. To reset the layout to its default size, select the Workflow TAB and click the Settings button under Applications Panel to open Application Settings. Then click the Reset Layout button.
