The 18th day of my participation in the November Gwen Challenge, the event details: the last Gwen Challenge 2021

Postman retrieves the deleted collection

Click the three dots to the right of the collection name and click Delete to Delete the collection that is no longer needed:

What should I do if I suddenly find that the wrong collection is deleted?

Method 1: Click on: Trash (postman.co)\

Method 2: Don’t worry, there is Trash to the right of New Collection. Click on it: \

Your browser will open the Trash page of your Postman website: https://{your group name}.postman.co/me/ Trash (your group name your team’s name will be visible after you log in). Hover the mouse over a collection that has been deleted by mistake, and the restore and delete ICONS appear. Click restore to restore the collection. Unfortunately, the free version of the resource only stays in the bin for one day, after which the resource is automatically removed from the bin. Be careful, otherwise the only way to keep a longer garbage record is to upgrade.

What is the Postman Collection?

The Postman Collection allows you to group requests together. You can organize these requests into folders. A collection is often translated into a collection in Chinese. Don’t be surprised to see such a translation in the rest of this article. The Postman Collection will take your productivity to the next level. Postman Collection allows individual requests to be grouped together, and these requests can be further managed into folders to more accurately reflect your API. Request can also store response examples when saved to favorites. You can also add a name or description to your request to make it easier for developers to use your API.

Why was the Postman Collection created?

Here are a few reasons why you should create a Collection. 1. Organization You can group requests into folders and collections so that you do not have to search history repeatedly. 2. Documentation You can add names and descriptions for requests, folders, and collections. In Postman, you can view documents using the collection browser. In Postman Pro, you can create and publish beautiful API documentation pages. 3. Test Suite You can attach test scripts to requests and build integration test suites. 4. Conditional workflows You can use scripts to pass data between API requests and build workflows that reflect actual API use cases.

How to manage a Postman Collection?

1.Edit collection

This is where you can change the name of your favorites and add a description to your favorites. Here you can edit the name and description, which supports Markdown

2.Share Collection

Favorites can be downloaded as JSON files, which allows you to share your Postman content with others. You can share your favorites anonymously but it is recommended that you create a Postman account when you upload a favorites so that you can update your favorites. You can also make them public or delete them. If you’re part of a team that uses Postman Cloud, you can share your favorites with the entire team or just a portion of the team. You can share your favorites with your team, you may need to make sure your team is online and you can see some details of the program on your team page. If you’re also online, you can Share your favorites by clicking on the Share button

\

3.Delete Collection

Deleting a favorites folder will also delete the local backup of that favorites folder. But it doesn’t delete favorites you share with GetPostman.com.Folders are a subset of favorites. You can create many folders in a favorites folder. You can simply add a request to a folder. Folders also support Markdown-based descriptions. Now you can only have tier 1 folders under favorites.

4.Saving requests inside a collection

Here you can add the relevant Request description, specifying the favorites or folders to save to. Click the Save button to Save the request to favorites.

Note: form-based requests and binary requests contain files that are not favorites. This is due to the limitations of the HTML5 specification.
