This is the second day of my participation in the August More text Challenge. For details, see:August is more challenging

preface

Before reading this article, check out these two sites to see the differences:

  • Site one: Your own Github

  • Website 2: The front end of Chow’s Github

It takes about 5 minutes to add a business card to your Github Profile

Add a Github Profile business card

  • Step 1: Create a repository with the same name as your Github Username

For example, if MY Github is luffyZh, I will create a new repository named luffyZh, as shown below:

Also, Github’s tips are pretty friendly, and when you type in the name of the repository, they tell you: This is a special repository, you can add a readme.md file as your Github business card, but you need to make sure the repository is public and has a readme.md file.

Once you’ve created it, go back to your home page, and you’ll find that the contents of the readme.md file already appear on your home page, but only the copy, so continue to beautify the business card.

  • Step 2: Add information

As you can see from my personal card above, in addition to the basic information, there are a few card information, which is the key to beautify, you can add some card information in the profile page, such as warehouse status, commonly used languages and how many warehouses your personal rank is, as I showed in the screenshot above.

Github-readme-stats is a repository that contains several card usage methods and a variety of theme color matching, so you can find a favorite theme and create a unique business card.

For reference, attach your personal profile code:

conclusion

A very concise article, I hope you can like, a reasonable reading posture is to praise 👍, by the way to the warehouse for a circle, in case you need knowledge? Github is really a treasure chest, there are always a lot of hidden little surprises that most people don’t know about, I will continue to discover these little eggs and share them with you, stay with me
