preface

A hackathon is more of a programmer’s event than a competition. As a front-end developer, I also like to participate in such contests. After all, you can put your idea, within 24 hours of your idea, or do a prototype according to the theme of the competition. Regardless of your technical background, you are welcome to attend these events.

Why did I start hackathons?

At first, I didn’t think about it that much. Whether it’s winning or gaining experience, it helps me grow. If it is a place, then you can share the joy with others. If it is to gain experience, it can also from a short period of time to test their mastery of different technologies. In any case, there is no good food without WWW

Another thing I like about hackathons is that the prizes are very rich. In addition to the third place ranking, ImagineHack also brought me FitBit, a smart bracelet. Shenzhen TechCrunch 2017 hackathon brings me HHKB, which is necessary for me to write code or write articles. For details, see the article “HHKB Pro 2 Open box”. Now, whether I’m writing code or writing articles, I can type freely without looking at the keyboard.

The game content

Competitions usually last 24 hours or more. Let’s say it starts in the morning of the first day and ends in the afternoon of the next. If the organization is famous, or willing to devote resources to welfare, the food we eat is also more luxurious. Among them there is no lack of buffet, two people to reach around the super large Pizza, as well as a lot of snacks, drinks.

The registration method

Most of these events are free, and some organizers may charge dozens of yuan, but you can still get free tickets from different sources. So if you haven’t already, you can also opt for some free hackathons to try it out.

It’s not hard to find these hackathons. You only have to keep an eye out for information in different communities to see hackathons happening almost every month. Most of these organizations encourage different participants, which means different people can participate in the competition. Programmers, designers, people with business backgrounds. Whether you’re a programmer or not, you can use your imagination and you could be the next winner.

feeling

Such an interesting activity, can communicate with different people, but also can verify their own technical level. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Just do IT. If you’re interested, check out the two postscripts I wrote: hackUST 2017 postscript and SuperCharger Hackathon. I hope we can have a chance to cooperate in the next competition.
