On August 8, 2017, Qiongyun was officially launched. For more than a year now, with the burgeoning WeChat applet, KnowCloud has made some headway

It has served more than 40,000 developers in total, and achieved a 1000% year-on-year growth in service scale in 18 years.

What efforts are we making

Over the past year, we have focused on Serverless (Serverless Architecture) = BaaS (Backend as a Service) + FaaS (Function as a Service) two basic capabilities, but also for the WeChat small program platform capabilities to do in-depth support, providing a large number of out-of-the-box features, such as —

  • The best template for pushing messages
  • One line of code connects to WeChat Pay
  • The most convenient small program code generator
  • One button to open intelligent customer service messages
  • Small program rich text CMS and layout rendering components and so on



Then, with the further expansion of the scale of developers, all kinds of small programs also put forward more service demands on the platform, such as SMS ability, email ability, error monitoring ability and so on, which we meet one by one.

In this process, we understand that it is not enough to dig deeper in depth, but also to think more about the breadth of services.

“How can we give more support to small program developers?”

In 2018, our answer to that question is that we can do everything but the “idea” (the business logic) itself. It’s never just a back-end cloud service, it’s a whole service system

To better serve users

In this half year, the ecology of small programs has also undergone earth-shaking changes, and major manufacturers are scrambling to keep repaying small programs:

  • Baidu intelligent small program: 100 billion traffic, open source, 90% of the advertising share
  • Headline small procedures: through the sound, there are eight flow entrance
  • Pay treasure small program: 3 years hit 1 billion incentive small program entrepreneurs
  • …

This phenomenon, not only reflects the large companies on the small program this application form is optimistic, but also a symbol of a trend.

After meeting more users, we had a deeper understanding of the term “vision” : starting with the WeChat mini-program, as users grew and schema validation was completed — > experienced more setbacks and grew — > moved on to more and bigger arenas.

This starting point is not only your (small program), but also our (service provider).



At this point, we decided to start learning about the cloud’s 3.0 plan — full-platform Serverless services.The hope is that ideas that allow users to verify them are blossoming around the world.

At the beginning of 19 years, we chose Alipay small program as the first station of the 3.0 plan.

In the following time, we will step by step support other major platforms (Baidu, Toutiao, etc.) small programs, Web side, iOS, Android, and gradually complete the construction of back-end cloud services of the whole platform. All this will happen very quickly.

Recruit public beta users

Now, know cloud to pay treasure’s support has been initially completed. We will open the beta and recruit 50 users to participate for free.
