Lower the Linux threshold, visual panel tool recommended
Linux command line operation is powerful, but also daunting to some users. The Linux panel tool enables you to perform visual operations on servers on the Web page, reducing the threshold for using Linux. Two Linux visual panel tools are recommended.
Cockpit
Cockpit is a Web-based server management tool for CentOS and RHEL systems. In the recently released CentOS 8 and RHEL 8, cockpit is the default server management tool.
Webmin
Webmin is an open source, free Web panel for deep operations on Linux. Login method: http:// public IP address :10000. Use server account (root/ server password) to log in to the server.
Error:
After installing Webmin, I see the above error when I access the Webmin control panel in my browser. The error indicates that you have accessed the Webmin control panel URL and there is no HTTPS in front.
- The Web server runs in SSL mode, so you must try to use HTTPS instead of HTTP. Try using the URL “https:// IP: 10000” or “https:// serverIP: 10000” and check to see if the same error is encountered.
- If the problem continues, the following: 1. Using the vi editor to edit the file/etc/webmin/miniserv. Conf. 2. Change the “SSL = 1” line to “SSL = 0” (disabled) 3. Restart the Webmin service. Systemctl restart webmin
