For me, who just entered the new group of university, I obviously feel that it is completely different from high school life. The biggest difference is self-discipline.

When studying in high school, most of the time is the teacher to supervise us and restrain us. But this is passive learning, and our ability to regulate ourselves decreases. Self-discipline is one of the key factors that can make us better people, and college is a place to test our self-discipline.

First, in terms of learning, we become active learners. For example, the first time I took a Python experiment class, I understood what the teacher said, but I couldn’t get the result I wanted in practice. However, the class time was limited, and the teacher was not always around you. So, at this time depends on your self-discipline ability, is to want to play? Or do you want to go back to work?

Secondly, in terms of life, it is more intuitive to reflect the “self-discipline”. After three years of “encouragement” from high school teachers, most of us think college is a place to relax and have fun every day. In fact, it is not true. When we have classes, we will be very busy. When we have no classes, we will see our self-discipline. Or do you want to get up early and go for a walk or something like that? I’m gonna go sit in the library.

These are all tests of our self-discipline. I believe THAT I will make my college life full and become more self-disciplined.
