Sip Voice and Video Calls based on LinePhone 01

preface

Recently received a demand, need to do a audio video phone App based on sip protocol, said to do audio and video calls, the first thought is certainly some audio and video services have improved, but this requirement is to implement, light sad, should be to do a set of audio and video service, decided to look for, see if there are ready-made.

idoubs

Idoubs is based on doubango(SIP open source protocol) framework written on github also see several, are relatively long, are 3-5 years ago, hold a try mentality download several try to run.

After many trials and tribulations, I finally got idoubs up and running, and the effect is pretty good. I can log in, and I can make voice and video calls.

Linphone

Linphone is an open source SIP client protocol that supports one-to-one calls and multi-person conference rooms. Linphone has its official website and keeps updating it, which is very suitable for my existing needs. I checked different versions on the official website and found great differences between different versions. The latest 5.1 version is supposed to build multi-person video calls, which is updated frequently and submitted frequently, so I chose 5.0.0 version. First, I ran LinphoneApp

Run LinphoneApp

Running LinphoneApp is relatively easy because it is maintained and updated. The function is quite complete, audio and video calls, message sending, call records and so on have been realized.

conclusion

After consulting with Android at the same time, we decided to use Linphone open source license for development. I will continue to share with you in the future!
