If you are using a group offline box, remember to use your group homestead folder as well. In other words, delete the Github Homestead folder that you copied with git Clone and replace it with the group homestead folder. Go to the homestead folder in git and run bash init.sh. New configuration files such as Homestead. yaml are kept directly in the Homestead folder, rather than in a separate hidden folder like the old Homestead.
Install (love) on homestead correct posture:
- Vagrant, Virtual Box, Git, etc
- Go through the offline files and demo videos in the group without doing anything
- By this time, you should have a good understanding of the context of the Homestead, and you can follow the video in chapter 1
- When you get to the Vagrant Box Add step, if you want to use offline packages, look at the long-winded ones
- Once you’re done adding boxes, continue with the chapter 1 video, online or offline
- Watch the episode on Vagrant’s Common Orders, and it starts to get ugly
- When you get a little more comfortable, watch Homestead Tips in Laravel&Vue: Mission Management Systems ii and start configuring your own box little by little
- Check out the vagrant Box release, which allows you to quickly use your old box in a different location or on a different computer, or to quickly share it with others
