Ali cloud zhixing hands-on laboratory officially open public test

On December 16, 2020, at the Cloud Ecosystem Conference, Li Xiang, author of ETCD, member of CNCF technical Supervision Committee and senior technical expert of Ali Cloud, officially released Ali Cloud zhixing manual laboratory start.aliyun.com.

It solves the problem of the last mile for developers to learn new technologies. Developers can use Aliyun to provide a real environment to learn new technologies directly in the browser. It has the following advantages over traditional learning methods:

  • An immersive, interactive learning experience

The three Windows of the lab set code, shell command line and document are in one browser page. Command execution and code modification can be completed by clicking the mouse, without opening N Windows and copying and pasting back and forth.

  • Free Cloud Resources

The lab and the various cloud resources used are free and there is no cost to worry about. A single experiment environment can be used for free for one hour, and the resources will be released automatically after the experiment.

  • Create a zero-threshold application

Zhixing Hands-on lab directly shields the complexity of environment preparation, allowing developers to focus on learning and pre-researching new technologies and products themselves. Click the mouse, participate in the experiment is the best way to open.

Currently supported experimental scenarios

During the public test, Zhixing Hands-on laboratory provided a relatively complete micro-service experiment with the micro-service scenarios implemented by Spring Cloud Alibaba. It mainly includes: Nacos Config distributed configuration, Nacos Discovery service registration & Discovery, Dubbo Spring Cloud distributed call, Sentinel flow limited fuses, Seata distributed transactions, RocketMQ messages, etc. It basically covers the main modules of microservice development.

The follow-up plan

In the future, we will continue to enrich the experimental scenes supported by Zhixing Hands-on Lab, mainly including mainstream open source projects and popular cloud service experience experiments.

  • In the field of micro-services, in addition to supporting mainstream micro-service boxes like Dubbo, we will go deep into micro-services and support the periphery of the core mode of micro-service architecture, including test, deployment, integration, debugging and other experimental scenarios.

  • In the area of container scheduling, kubernetes-related experimental scenarios will be supported.

  • In AI, experimental scenarios for popular open source projects such as Flink will be supported.

In the future, we will also open the custom experiment access function, so that the majority of developers can put their own scenes into the knowledge and action lab.
