We all know that programmers are treated like factory workers, and the more overtime they put in, the higher their pay. The reason why I say this is — I get low pay and don’t work overtime.
Work overtime
There are so many reasons for people to work overtime — because to buy a house is to make money; Because to make money, you need to work overtime. It’s not that different from the factory workers we used to see, and it’s an even sadder vicious cycle. Buying a house is a scary prospect even for a well-paid programmer; For low-income people in general, it is a terrible thing. People work for decades to buy a house, and what happens when they buy a house? Start enjoying yourself?
It’s a horrible vicious circle where you work so hard for so little money. It’s because of your hard work that housing prices keep going up, and then you have to work for a few more years.
So why are we working overtime? To see a better world, or just to buy a house?
The world is still an interesting place where classes work well.
You stand on the bridge and look at the scenery. The people looking at the scenery look at you from upstairs.
The World Factory
The world is like a terrible factory, and people have been building the world factory in a cycle:
After birth, we follow our parents’ understanding of the world;
After school, we are familiar with the world through our teachers’ understanding;
After graduation, we began to work on the two remaining pleasures of life;
After the event, we begin to build a life for our children;
Until one day, we can finally think about life.
But we don’t have enough strength anymore.
ReThink
From the time we are born to the time we graduate, we receive the knowledge given to us by others, and in terms of the learning pyramid:
We graduate with only 5% of our knowledge of the world. This means that we are operating in the gears that people have given us.
For most people, they don’t read or think, and most of them will stay at the 5% level for the rest of their lives. The distribution would look something like the distribution of IQ:
It’s a normal distribution. It’s inevitable that most people don’t think about these questions, because they need to meet basic physiological and WiFi needs:
But as a programmer it’s an easy requirement to satisfy. But working overtime takes away too many needs, like socializing. Who else do you know in the real world besides blind dates?
There’s also a need for respect that’s hard to guarantee:
Stop and think about the world on the weekend.
Your world needs you as a superman:
