Usually when we are conducting file transfer, generally large file transfer is very troublesome. Even after compression, it will take up large memory of the system, and it is not convenient to download. Therefore, to solve the problem of large file compression transmission, will bring great convenience to our work.
BetterZip is a powerful and easy-to-use decompression software for Mac. BetterZip’s volume compression feature solves the problem of compression and transfer of large files. To solve this problem, learn how to use BetterZip for volume compression.
The first step is to find the folder we need to perform volume compression, select it and right click “Show Introduction”. On the displayed overview page, information about the folder, comments, and share permissions are displayed. Click “General” and we can see that the folder is 1.3GB in size and contains 42 items.
PS: At this point we need to consider how many volumes the folder needs to be compressed.
Step 2, right-click the file and choose BetterZip. Decompression, using the preset decompression, and other options are available under this option. We click “save for PC”, then the file can be compressed on the computer side.
Step 3, the page will enter the compression Settings page, where you can change the file name, save location, compression format, and other compression Settings.
In compression formats, the recommended format is Zip. The size of the compressed file is changed to 4 and the unit of the compressed file is set to GB (optionally KB or MB). After completing the Settings, click “Save” in the lower right corner.
Then, you can see the file in the process of volume compression on the BetterZip software page.
Step 4, after the file is decompressed, we can see that the four new compressed files have been saved. The compressed file name is automatically changed to 001, 002, 003, and 004.
By performing the preceding steps, you can compress large files into separate volumes. In this way, file transfer is faster, saving time and effectively improving work efficiency.
