How to change the default file opening mode in Windows 10

In Windows 10, select Start, then Select Settings.

On the Settings screen that opens, select APP.

Then in the popup interface, choose to open APP by default.

Here, you can see the default file types that your Windows 10 APP opens.

You can modify this by selecting the default application based on the file type at the bottom of the page.

Use the right button to modify

Default open for a file type, if you want to use a different application to open it.

You can right-click this file and select another application from Open.

In this way, you can change Windows 10’s default open applications for file types.
