How do technical people learn English? I summarize the following points:
1, Learning English should be like learning Chinese, read a hundred times, its meaning. When I read a lot of novels in middle school, MY Chinese was better than other students because of my strong sense of language, rather than the analysis method taught by the teacher. Learning English is the same, do not recite words alone, the most useless. Read an original English book you are interested in, use an English-English dictionary, listen to the original TED or American open course textbook every day (not netease open Course with Chinese subtitles, just look for the textbook with CC in iTunes).
2, when reading materials, if the search is Chinese translation materials, click on the original to see the English directly.
3. When searching for information, search directly in English.
4, You will meet a lot of new words, grammar and so on, record in Youdao Cloud/Evernote.
5. Read an interesting English story every day.
6. Check out a few foreign websites (Medium, Hacker News), communities (Quora), or blogs that interest you.
7, mobile phone and computer system Settings in English.
8. Search questions in English, often read English technical documents, take notes and diary in English, git commit messages in English.
The above is my summary of how technical people learn English, I hope it will be helpful to you.
