Blockchain technology has developed rapidly in recent years, and its distributed and decentralized technical characteristics make it popular among many people. Cryptocurrencies represented by BTC based on blockchain technology have shown explosive growth both in value and quantity. Blockchain technology ensures that digital currencies are not supervised by centralized institutions and their circulation is not restricted. Cryptocurrencies became a liberal religion, and their anonymity facilitated the rapid transfer of value across the globe.
But anonymity on a common public chain is not really anonymity.
For BTC or ETH, for example, everything is public on the blockchain. Although you don’t know the real identity behind an address, you can easily know the coin holding situation of an address and monitor the transfer or transfer of virtual currency from an address.
It can be imagined that if this address and some of the addresses have been publicly linked with the real name of the transfer relationship, it is easy to trace the real identity of this address through this relationship. Even if the address is transferred to an exchange, the identity of the address holder can be traced through the exchange’s real-name authentication.
At the moment, anonymity is like dancing in shackles. In order to change this situation, in April 2019, Old Man and Mars Warrior led the formation of DEF research and development team, with Dark Web anonymous organization Defender as the core member.
Mars Warrior and Defender both have deep roots in cryptocurrencies. Defender, a dark Web anonymous organization, was founded in September 2010 with the goal of protecting and defending financial freedom. In May 2014, Defender officially entered the BTC cryptocurrency world as an organization and established the first cryptocurrency block network based on the dark web.
In February 2018, Mars Warrior, member no. 12 of Defender, first proposed the idea of establishing an anonymous public chain, and began to study it, established the prototype of DEF, and formally formed the technical team of DEF in April, 19.
In fact, the problem that most cryptocurrencies are not “anonymous” has been around for a long time, and many communities have addressed this problem by creating virtual currencies that claim to be truly anonymous. For example, Menlo coin (XMR), Dashi coin (DASH), ZEC and so on.
How is DEF different in comparison?
DEF ensures the provision of smart contracts, on-chain big data module storage, rapid application transfer and other operating mechanisms, reduces the development and use costs of traditional industries and traditional Internet, realizes anonymous decentralized intelligent ecology, and builds global dark web ecological applications.
Anonymity is the core of DEF. DEF is the world’s first anonymous public chain using D-ELF cycle encryption algorithm to achieve absolute anonymity through multi-layer and multi-node anonymous links. DEF’s anonymity allows dApps to move around the world without legal restrictions. There will be countless disruptive and creative products that will run on DEF forever and no one can turn them off.
DEF will push backward social change through technological progress, liberate fettered productivity through absolutely anonymous blockchain smart contracts, and promote a new round of information revolution.
