preface
You can ignore this article, or you can read it and reminisce about your school days. This article is pure some feeling, and by the way to say some advice to younger students. Of course, if you see any mistakes or have anything to add, please point them out. I will share this article with younger students and hope that you can give more suggestions.
Last week, at the request of the counselor, I went to share employment with junior and junior students who graduated from grade 20. To be honest, it is not easy to find a satisfying job as a student of shuangfei university. But believe that the effort is proportional to the goods received!
When I stood on the platform, I seemed to see myself a year ago, vacillating about postgraduate entrance examination and job hunting. Whenever I was asked to raise my hand if I plan to apply for a job or take the postgraduate entrance examination, I was always the one who did not raise my hand. Of course, there were a small number of students who had already set their own goals.
2, to the chase
Here’s what I’m going to share with you through the process of finding a job:
- Online application (send resume)
- The written test
- The interview
- Offer to choose
2.1 Online application (resume delivery) stage
2.1.1 Resume preparation
- Keep the basic information brief, and if you’re not attractive, don’t post photos.
- Don’t throw away all the lessons you learned in college, such as:
- Familiar with Javascript, HTML, CSS;
- Be familiar with Java and MySQL;
- Proficient in Office, Photoshop;
If you’re good at something, by all means include it, but other candidates have it too, so focus on the following.
- Try to highlight their own project experience, for the students of Shuangfei, project experience is the most lacking (I am no exception). So if project experience isn’t enough, then engineering practice is. Highlight what you have done in the project and how to solve any problems you encounter!
- In addition to the above parts, most students will also write the experience in the student Union during college or other awards. For example, the sports awards, or other unimportant things do not put up. Of course if you have ACM, Blue Bridge cup and so on award writing is the best.
2.1.2 Resume delivery
For the network application stage, the most important is the ability to obtain information. We must grasp the recruitment dynamics of big factories in the first time, otherwise, there is no way to recruit complaints after the delivery time. For enrollment or internal promotion information, junior and junior students can get it from niuke, Interconnection group, Mr. Offer and other places. Of course, if there are friends in dachang, looking for friends to push the best. Nuggets in these technical forums, there will be a lot of big shots to help push.
For the stage of network application also need to pay attention to is that some large factories will have a limit on the number of delivery, so it is recommended to first deliver to small companies, understand the job needs, interview process and adapt to the interview atmosphere.
2.2 Written test
After experiencing a written test, I will wonder: why do I sleep and play with my mobile phone in class? ! For the written questions, more emphasis is placed on basic computer skills, such as data structures, databases, operating systems and computer networks. There is no shortcut to learning, it can only be mastered by repeated practice. There is no good way to pass the written test. If you want to pass the written test successfully, you can go to LeetCode directly to brush up the questions. Dachang likes dynamic partition and binary tree related questions. Here are two courses recommended for Geek Time: “Interesting Network Protocols” and “The Beauty of Data Structures and Algorithms”.
I think it is worthwhile to invest any amount in your study.
2.3 Interview Stage
The interview will be very strange for younger students. The tense atmosphere of the interview will make you forget everything you have prepared before. In fact, I think the tension is because you don’t have a solid grasp of the knowledge points.
The interview is a test of your professional knowledge and basic knowledge. For beginners to learn JavaScript, most of these technologies are learned in W3School or Runoob. Of course it’s a great way to do it, and I started learning on these sites, but it just tells you what it is and how to use it.
But when you go to a tech forum or join a tech group, you realize that what you’re learning is really superficial, and they’re talking about things that I don’t understand. So these things need to use their own extra energy to absorb nutrients from books or forums. Here are a few books and forums THAT I think are good:
- Books: Advanced JavaScript Programming, the Definitive guide to JavaScript, JavaScript You Don’t Know, High Performance JavaScript, JavaScript Ninja Secrets;
- Forum: Nuggets, Stack Overflow, Segmentfault (personally feel CSDN is a bit miscellaneous);
- Courses: Geek time, MOOCs;
I hope you can support the legal version, all my books are bought by Dangdang or JINGdong (Chinese books are really cheap), if the ability is limited then PDF (many resources online).
I think it is very important to play to your strengths and avoid your weaknesses in the interview stage.
Play to your strengths and avoid your weaknesses & Think outside the box: There are always gaps in knowledge when preparing for an interview, so it’s inevitable that the interviewer will ask you questions that you don’t know or that are vague. But don’t answer at this point: “Sorry, I forgot, you should try to answer, you want according to own understanding, this time slowly to make logic will test your knowledge of breadth, I think knowledge are connected with each other, between absolute independence of knowledge are very few, so you have to rely on you are just the breadth of the transferred to you are familiar with the knowledge to the topic. Here’s an unfortunate example:
It’s like watching a video at station B, where you can get “both style and style” or “you’re so beautiful” for all sorts of different things.
If the interviewer asks you about areas of knowledge, don’t wait to be asked the next question. Not only will this show off your knowledge, but it will also arouse the interviewer’s interest in you, which will lead to more topics to talk about and make the conversation easier. Such as:
Interviewer: What is a closure? You: closures are functions that can access variables in the scope of another function. And then you can talk about what closures can be used for, the features of closures, things like that; If you’re talking about the differences between closures and normal functions (i.e. they’re not collected but stored in memory), then you can talk about the browser’s garbage collection mechanism, the difference between new and old algorithms, etc.
This will show the depth and breadth of your knowledge.
It’s best to have a look before the interview, if you have a good grasp of all aspects. Read the following to get an idea of the different priorities of different companies, so you can be better prepared. Of course, the most important thing is to see their shortcomings from the face classics.
2.4 talk about money
When it comes to the HR interview, it’s basically in the bag, but of course you should pay attention to the conversation with HR. Don’t get excited when it comes to talking about money. I think what Winter said is right: “I don’t care about money, but money never treats me badly.” Offer to check out the company’s salary package from OfferShow before the interview, so you can make a reasonable decision during the interview.
In fact, I think it is very simple to choose Offer. Money is not the most important criterion, but how much I can learn in the company and how big a platform I can provide for you.
conclusion
My ability is limited, I will try my best to answer any questions for younger students, of course, other grade 20 friends can also refer to it. Hope to be helpful to you!
Wish you all get the desired Offer!
Hope big guys raise a lot to offer an opinion, or supplement! In this grateful (peng Peng peng, kowtow sound ~)! Wish you all hairline reverse growth!!
