Yin Dong, a full-stack engineer with five years of experience in software development, was one of the competitors in the HarmonyOS Developer Application Innovation Competition. At the event, he’s bringing a product called The Shooting App, which, as the name suggests, harks back to HarmonyOS ‘distributed capabilities to help users take more satisfying photos.
The inspiration for the app came from Yin’s personal experience. Although it is the whole stack engineer that each skill has both before and after end, but take photos on this matter, Yin Dong is completely not get the point however, be often by cummer “abandon”. After finishing his studio last year, along with the release of the HarmonyOS Mobile Developer Beta and the launch of the Developer App Innovation Competition, Yin quickly decided on the direction of the Shooting App.
Compared with ordinary camera applications, Yin Dong’s Shooting App can control multiple mobile phones or pads to shoot in real time through distributed technology, making full use of the high pixel of the rear camera. When taking a selfie, you only need to place the phone /PAD in an appropriate position in front of you to take a remote shot with another phone /PAD in your hand. Moreover, it supports the real-time presentation of the shooting picture, so that the photographed person can directly see himself in the shot, which is convenient to adjust the posture at any time, and can guide the photographer to adjust the composition in time to improve the quality of the shot.
“I was fascinated by HarmonyOS ‘northbound development technology when I first learned it. Distributed task scheduling, distributed file management, distributed data management, soft bus technology, these new technologies are desirable.” Yin Dong made no secret of his admiration for the technology.
HarmonyOS ‘rich capabilities also gave Yin plenty of room to develop more gameplay than just the hardware resources he needed to use on multiple devices while taking photos.
When shooting videos, The Shooting App also supports managing the recording time and pictures of all networking devices with mobile phones, and displaying the recorded pictures in real time through another mobile phone or PAD.
Leveraging HarmonyOS ‘distributed file management capabilities, the Shooting App also makes photos and videos available to every networking device.
“Simplicity” is what Yin Dong felt most during the development of shooting App. Cross-terminal calls that used to involve middleware and networking require only a few configurations and a few lines of code, HarmonyOS said. “It’s like a green train versus a high-speed train.”
HarmonyOS ability, but in his opinion, far more than that, in the future, he plans to “especially App” more intelligent configuration to simplify the user action, such as according to the user to select a template, such as automatic configuration process, equipment order filming, and even to realize distributed beauty filter, different people online photo interesting and practical function.
The Shooting App is the first App for Yin’s studio. For him, the developer competition is just a starting point. “Providing users with a brand new shooting experience is my ultimate goal.”
