After a year of precipitation and polishing, meituan technology team and the Department of Electronics of Tsinghua University jointly set up a graduate credit course “The Business Application and Practice of Big Data Technology”, which landed in Tsinghua University for the second time and officially opened on September 24th.

The lecture hall was packed with 116 students. The students came from 29 departments of Tsinghua University, including the department of electronics, the Department of Computer and the Department of automation. There were many students who did not choose to attend the class, and more than a dozen students sat in the aisle and insisted on listening to it.

In terms of content, combined with the current trend of big data technology application, meituan Knowledge Map has added 3 classes this year. At the same time, in order to strengthen students’ hands-on ability, this year will also add course practice assignments in the basic technology of big data platform. In addition, the course plan is open to more universities, so that more students who are interested in big data can gain something and feel the charm of Meituan big data.

A total of 10 lecturers from Tsinghua University and Meituan have participated in the development and teaching of the course “Business Application and Practice of Big Data Technology”. The course will take the technology of big data acquisition, storage, analysis and mining as clues and combine the business application and practice of big data in Meituan. Through the combination of classroom theory teaching, business application and case introduction, and the course Project based on the actual system, students will be helped to fully understand and master big data technology and its practical application.

Tsinghua Lecture 1

In the first lecture, Li Yong, associate professor and doctoral supervisor of Electronic Engineering Department of Tsinghua University, introduced the general situation of the course and the introduction of big data.
