GitHub for Mobile

GitHub launched its mobile client, which is still in its Beta phase, at Last year’s Universe conference. After months of development, the GitHub iOS and Android client for mobile devices is now available in stable form from Google Play or the App Store.

The GitHub Mobile client provides the following features:

  • Browse the latest notices

  • Read and respond to issues and PR

  • Review and merge PR

  • Use configuration items such as Labels, Assignees, and projects to manage issues

  • Browse files and code

Making the mobile client USES the native development, not copy PC interface has the design of the website, but for mobile terminal provides a new interface, designed for touch screen also provides notifications, when the user is directly @ can receive a suspension notice, convenient developers see the code at any time and place, merge changes collaboration and sharing, etc. It also includes support for sliding operations such as closing notifications and marking task status.

As a native app, GitHub Mobile is designed to be responsive to any screen size and resolution, and has a good user experience with its native dark mode.

GitHub has not commented on whether the GitHub iOS and Android client will be open source.
