“Time does not stop, creation, this article is participating2021 Year-end Summary Essay Contest” |

preface
I call from fengyue pawn, an unknown junior, sophomore reading.
2021 is destined to be an extraordinary year for me. During this year, BYtedance and I have developed a lot of love and hate.
I got to know nuggets APP in the winter vacation in early January, and I set bytedance as my goal.
By the end of May, I delivered bytedance for the first time, but unfortunately it was suspended on three sides.
Then in November, I made a comeback, met three bytes in one go on the afternoon of November 4, and got the internship offer smoothly.
Looking back, I see myself growing up from 0 to 1 in terms of technology, and gradually understanding the world from 0 to 1. Likewise, I also see myself stepping into Bytedance from 0 to 1 step by step.
First met Bytedance
Because I participated in the information contest in high school, my college was not as confused as most of my classmates. From the first day I entered university, I wanted to learn engineering knowledge and work in a big factory after graduation.
My first contact with an engineering project was in the winter vacation of my freshman year. At that time, the lab supervisor happened to negotiate a project similar to Meituan platform for us to practice. In retrospect, I seem to have defined the word “volume” to its fullest: At 12 o ‘clock in the middle of the night, I was alone in the study of the mining app, what “Apache, tomcat, SpringBoot”, a new term constantly stimulate my curiosity, I was hungry to brush an article and an article, no sleepy, I know that these knowledge is my love, is my yearning.
It was then that I first heard about Bytedance, and after talking to a lot of seniors about the company, I decided that it was the ivory tower of my dream technology, my heart’s desire.
First delivery, hanging on three sides
Although I set the goal of byte reduction early, due to the heavy academic pressure in the freshman year, plus I had to participate in ACM competition and be responsible for the lab project, I did not read the eight-part essay on the back and did not know about the internship. Moreover, since no one in our school ever practiced in Dachang during the summer vacation of freshman year, I also felt that this matter could be discussed until the junior year.
Everything’s going well, except for the internship.
In ACM competition, our team won the silver medal in Kunming Regional Competition on April 3, and the silver medal in EC final on April 18. Although we only missed the gold medal by 7 places in EC competition, such achievements were enough for a freshman.
In the laboratory project, after the winter vacation, I can write a VUE interface, build a data table and write the BACK-END CRUD independently. Although I know nothing about the underlying principles of technology, I can also be regarded as a beginner.
In May, all my goals had been achieved. I should concentrate on studying cultural courses and take the final exams.
But I came up with a bold idea: “How about delivering a byte? What if it passes?”
On the spur of the moment, I spent the afternoon writing my resume and then contacted my seniors who worked in Byte to help me push it. I soon received an interview
In retrospect, I was a silly little fool – no database, no operating system, no JVM, only able to talk about simple business, write a few algorithm problems, everything seemed to be different from the other interviewees.
Therefore, there is a painting style different from any other interview
The process would look something like this:
One side: After the interviewer looks at the resume, “Let’s do some algorithm questions.”
Interview 2: After the interviewer looks at the resume, “Let’s do some algorithmic questions”
Three ways: After the interviewer looks at the resume, “Do you know what mysql index is? Oh, I don’t know. Let’s do it.”
The first, second and third questions took a total of 3 hours, so I did 3+1+2 = 6 arithmetic problems
From simulation to DP, from easy to hard.
Although ALL the topics have been done by me, but still because of various factors regret to stop in three aspects.
Maybe a little frustrated, but not cold. A few days later, I joined another small company, met a lot of interesting people and experienced a lot of interesting things, but that’s another story.
Redelivery, smooth OC
A fall into a pit, a gain in your wit.
In the sophomore year, although the school did not offer relevant specialized courses, I was lucky to meet the help of many seniors. It took me about a month to learn about the Internet, mysql, some operating systems, Redis and JVM.
But at that time, I did not know my own level, and did not have the confidence to pass the byte interview.
So I sent another company to test the waters, and when I saw the satisfaction on the interviewer’s face, I knew it was time to have a showdown with Byte.
The interview is scheduled for 2 p.m. on November 4th.
It seems that according to the plot of swordsman novels, this interview should be my hardships, comeback, and the interviewer fight the dark, finally lucky to get the offer.
However, it is not
One, two and three of the interviewer did not create difficulties for me, casually asked the eight-part essay, did a few easy questions, let me go back and wait for the result.
Seems like a lot more sloppy than the freshman interview
And then there’s the waiting process, which I’m going to say is incredibly efficient with bytes
The next day the hr side
Send the offer the next day
Sitting in front of my computer screen, I let out a short sigh when I received that simple email — it was so deserved and so hard-won.
The story should have ended here, and the following things should be like a process. I accepted the offer and entered Bytedance to start a new journey.
But to my surprise, the next day after receiving the offer, I received another big surprise
eggs
If along the way, who has helped me the most, I think it should be the Nuggets app. Almost all the articles of professional courses, I refer to the gold digging website. Since January, I have been reading the Nuggets forum for half an hour almost every day, and it has become a part of my life.
I thought that was the end of my relationship with the Nuggets. But t to my surprise, when I asked Mentor about our group’s business.
