I was a college student, so I went to college for two years, went out for training for two months in my junior year, and then went to work.
The two years in the university are a long time for me, which is called “suffering” in another harsh word. There is really no progress, said to be in the same place is a compliment, strictly speaking, is downhill. Why do you say that? Because MY English even level 4 also did not lead, took an examination of two ah, think about all sad, do a poor student I easy me? Think of the English results of the college entrance examination in those days but took an examination of 136 points ah, not good, also calculate the normal level.
There is no denying that English is very important for programmers, right? But I didn’t even pass level 4 — shame, shame, shame me. So why haven’t I improved in two years? I’ll be a specimen and take it from the inside out.
One, I lost my purpose. Go to primary school, middle school, high school, the goal is very clear, go out of the countryside. After two years, I can only go to junior college. It doesn’t matter.
Second, the school atmosphere is not good. My self-control is very average. I’m a guy who goes with the flow. Colleges and universities, the overall learning ability of natural students and undergraduate compared, or there is a gap. I had no choice but to fall.
Third, I play games instead of studying. Class also took a notebook to play PC games, at that time the favorite is need for Speed, now mentioned, can still think of that excitement.
If anyone has the same symptoms, get treatment before it’s too late.
Let’s go back to the problem of “Even”. Five years have passed in the same place. I think there are only three reasons: there is no goal, the atmosphere is too bad, and I am not good at learning.
So how do you change that and get out of it?
First, reorganize your life. Since Even only offered one sentence, I couldn’t guess what kind of life he was living, so I had to take me as an example.
My current life goal is very clear, that is, by the end of the year, the number of subscriptions to the official account of “Silent King ii” will reach XXXXX. In view of the current trend, the goal should be achieved.
What have I done to achieve this goal? We cannot say that we have set goals. Without concrete actions, the goals will surely become nothing but empty talk.
Prep 1: Stick to being more original. In order to keep the writing materials fresh, I went to B website, read zhihu, read novels, watch Ruan Yifeng, and visited English technical websites, which gave me a lot of content to write.
Preparation 2: Invest in production tools. I buy Bose noise-canceling headphones, which cost about 1,900 yuan. I bought razer mouse, about 600 yuan; I’ll take the Filco keyboard, about 1400; I’ll buy a dual-screen monitor, about 1600; I’ll take the iPad Mini, about 3,588; I buy the MacBook Pro, about 10,000. You have to be engaged. If you’re not engaged, your work will be much less productive. Besides, you don’t spend money, how can you have the urge to work for money, right?
Step 3: Be enthusiastic. The Ivy League-educated Trump once said: “Without enthusiasm, you have no energy. Without energy, you have nothing.” You see, I didn’t make any money writing for a long time, six or seven years, and that’s called passion. If you do something and always think about the cost, always think about the return, you won’t have enthusiasm, you won’t get results.
There is a fire in everyone’s heart. Don’t let it go out. Find it and light it.
Preparation 4: Group development. To be human, you have to communicate, and to communicate, you have to make some reliable friends.
I started to work in October 2010. When I officially became a member of the company, I made great efforts in interpersonal relationship. I got along with every colleague who had an intersection with me. There is joy, the first time out to share.

Second, if you have to, change the platform. However, if your platform isn’t good enough, doesn’t satisfy your appetite, or doesn’t help you, there’s no need to stay the same.
Introduce yourself through friends, send out your resume, go to an interview, and move to another company. The change of environment, to a large extent, can urge one’s progress.
Recently, several readers have asked me whether I will go to the first tier or the second tier after graduation. I have talked about this topic before, and the answer is clear: Don’t worry about comfort. Don’t hesitate to go to the front line if you can, unless there is a mine at home and there is no need to struggle.
The Internet environment in first-tier cities must be better than that in second and third-tier cities. I have seen too many unambitious people in Luoyang, keeping their own little life and feeling quite happy, but in fact, their belts are tight.
Third, spend some money and take some time out. In December 2019, I met with several friends including Pure Smile, a little rain in jiangnan and Cxuan in Nanjing for about two and a half days.
