Without exception, I am disappointed every time I happily click on a link called “This Year’s Trends in Web Design.” If you’ve written a list of design trends for 2016 that includes a full-screen video background, you should go back and look at previous versions of some websites. So, without further ado, here are five practical trends for this year’s office year.

1) Full screen & non-scrollable pages

Unscrollable websites are getting more and more attention. It is a growing trend in web design for sites without scroll bars to browse content by clicking on anchor links at the top. Although some people hate to restrict scrolling, it can sometimes work well. This type of site is designed to take advantage of the limitations of the page, keyboard navigation is very common in such sites.

2. Put titles aside

For the latest web design trends, look at the websites of some design agencies or some design departments. The title of the article should scroll to the side of the article, as many cool designers do. This is a web design trend, not necessary if you’re reading it on mobile.

3) Brand logo is displayed when loading

It’s a huge trend, one that has become common to almost every organization’s website this year. Every website should be owned and done. First of all, it looks good, and at the same time, it makes users feel that the website is part of the logo brand, which deepens the user’s sense of brand.

Instrument

Three examples of using logos at load time:

  • Instrument – The logo of this site is only displayed when you open the navigation menu and load, which is a brave thing to do.
  • Fubiz – Each section has a different logo and corresponding animation.
  • The site has a lot of design that has never been seen before. Navigation ICONS appear when the program is loaded.

4) Interactive background patterns

Having a background image in the browser window is nothing new, it seems to be a website design trend in 2013. But adding some interactive effects to the background image, such as over the mouse… That will take the site to a new level.

Active Theory

Three examples of background image interaction:

  1. Make me Pulse – Feel the mountain moving as the mouse moves over the background.
  2. Active Theory – If you’re designing a website for your company, what better way to showcase your design skills? Make your site like a Google experiment, but nothing else.
  3. Details – This will bring some scrolling. The Swiss design agency obviously didn’t want to use anchor links, and if you scroll down to 4/4 of the page, you’ll see some slight distortion.

5) Top animation Settings

It’s technically possible, visually enjoyable when done well, but annoying when done badly. So be careful when you use it.
