Druid contains a set of available reference configurations and startup scripts for single-machine deployment:
nano-quickstart
micro-quickstart
small
medium
large
xlarge
Micro-quickstart is suitable for small computers such as laptops and is used to quickly evaluate Druid usage scenarios.
Other configurations include configurations for deployment using standalone servers, which typically need to be equivalent to AWS i3 series EC2 servers.
These sample configuration startup scripts run with the Druid service running a single ZooKeeper instance, or you can choose to deploy ZooKeeper separately.
The Druid in the sample program Coordinator and Overlord as a separate process running at the same time, use the optional configuration for Druid. The Coordinator. AsOverlord. Enabled = true, For details, see the Coordinator Configuration Documentation page.
We provide examples of large single-machine configurations, but in a more realistic and big-data environment we recommend deploying Druid in a clustered manner, as described on the Clustered Deployment page.
Cluster deployment improves the Druid’s fault tolerance and scalability.
