  • Google apps are crashing for many Android users.
  • The problem appears to stem from a recent update to the app.

Google Apps seems to be having some problems. Some Android users reported on Twitter that Google apps were randomly crashing on their phones. One of our team members, using the LG Wing with Android 10, also had this problem.

The problem with the Google app crash appears to stem from a recent update pushed by the company. On our side, we ran into this problem with the 12.23.16.23.23. Arm64 version of Google Apps. Some users have also reported application crashes on the 12.24.7.29.arm64 beta version of the application.

Hi Maciej, sorry to hear that you’re having problems with your device. We have to solve this problem. Can you try holding down the power button for 30 seconds for a soft reboot and see if it works? If it helps, please let us know. Dan

In response to complaints on Twitter, the Made By Google account suggested a soft reboot. However, users reported that restarting their phones did not work for them.

For us, the problem was solved when we uninstalled the latest update to Google Apps. However, not everyone is so lucky. Several users still had problems with the application even after rolling back to a previous version.

Looks like we’ll have to wait for Google to issue a more specific fix and explain what went wrong. We will update this post when we have more information.
