preface

Hello, developers, there is no personal blog! Series has been updated for a long time, also got a lot of netizens feedback, personal webmaster and personal blog exchange. Welcome more individual webmaster, blog lovers to exchange and learn together, common progress.

The previous chapter introduced how to apply for free SSL certificates based on Aliyun. Each person’s account can apply for 20, and can normally apply again after expiration. I believe that many friends have applied for SSL certificates of their own websites, so this time, SSL certificates will be deployed based on the Pagoda operation and maintenance tool.

Refer to the previous chapter: Developers can’t live without a personal blog! HTTP Upgrade HTTPS to deploy the SSL certificate

Quick start

Log on to the pagoda

I believe that many partners are using pagoda as a personal blog site operation and maintenance management tool, the author is also very fond of this tool. So the author uses a pagoda for installation. As shown below, the interface after logging in to the pagoda.

Select site

When we log in to the pagoda’s home page, select the [Sites] menu bar on the left, and a list of sites will appear, showing all the sites installed by the pagoda. We can select the site where the SSL certificate will be deployed and click the Setup button. The operation is shown in the figure below.

Download the certificate

Log in to the aliyun account that you have applied for, select the SSL certificate that has been applied for by the corresponding domain name, select the corresponding certificate according to the server environment, and click Download. The following figure shows the list of SSL certificates. Select the corresponding domain name and click Download

Click download and the following interface appears. This article selects the download of Nginx, and unzip the file when the download is complete.

After unpacking the downloaded SSL certificate, the following two files appear. It is respectively 88888 _www.XXXXX.com.keyAnd 8888 _www.XXXXX.com.pemTwo files. Key is the key of the certificate. Pem is the public key file of the certificate. We will use these two files for processing.

Install the certificate

After clicking Settings in the pagoda, the following screen appears, select the SSL menu bar, and then select the other certificate buttons. The following two input fields appear. One is to enter the public key and the other is to enter the private key. It is the content of the SSL certificate we have applied for from Ali Cloud above.

Copy the contents of ali’s two files to the input box respectively according to the KEY and certificate (PEM format) above the input box. Click the save button below and turn on the force HTTPS button above.

This completes the deployment of the SSL certificate for our site. Isn’t that easy? Let’s go to our website and see if it’s already HTTPS.

Enter our domain name in the browser and it has become a secure site. The request also becomes a URL that starts with HTTPS. There you are, installing the SSL certificate.
