Visualsvn server is used on the server and tortoiseSvn is used on the client.

First, the server

1. Firstly, download visualsvn server and install it to the server. Download address:

2, after installation, open

Of which, Repositories is the code repository
3. Create a new code base

\

Note: If CheckBox is checked, three subdirectories of Trunk, Branches and tags will be created under StartKit. If unchecked, only the empty code base StartKit will be created. Unselected, click OK to create. \

4. Create a user
Create a user on the VisualSVN Server, for example, call coder, right click on the code base, properties, add the new user, and assign read/write permissions to coder.

5. Set the access mode and port of the SVN SERVER
Right click on VisualSVN Server (as shown) to set the access port. The default is 80, HTTPS.

2. Check the source code into the SVN server
Right-click the source directory and select Import, as shown. Usually the source directory has a lot of stuff that you don’t need to commit, such as the BIN directory, temporary folders, etc., so before importing, you should clean the source directory to make sure everything inside is necessary.

3. Check out the source code to the machine
Once the source code is checked into the server, it is not enough for code management purposes. You should create a new folder, checkout, and checkout the checked in code to the new folder where the source code is really manageable.

Create the folder StartKit on your machine, right-click Checkout, and pop up the window shown in the following image: \
