Common system shortcut keys
A single button
- F2 renamed (most laptops are Fn+F2, the same below)
- F5 to refresh
- F11 Full screen/Exit Full screen
- PrtSc takes full screen and copies to the paste board
- Win opens the Start menu
The Ctrl key
- Ctrl + A select all of them
- Ctrl + C copy
- Ctrl + X to cut
- Ctrl + V paste
- Ctrl + D/Delete Delete
- Shift + Delete Deletes permanently
- Ctrl + F search
- Ctrl + S to save
- Ctrl + Shift + S Save as
- Ctrl + Alt + S Save all
- Ctrl + Z to undo
- Ctrl + Y To redo (anti-undo)
- Ctrl + Tab toggles the window
- Ctrl + Shift + Esc/Ctrl + Alt + Dle Task Manager
- Ctrl + E displays the search box

- Win + S open search
- Windows + Tab open task attempt
- Win + E Open the Resource Manager
- Win + I opens Settings
- Windows + D displays the desktop
- Win + R opens the Run dialog box
- Win + Ctrl + D Create a desktop Win + Ctrl + F4 Close the virtual desktop
Alt key combination
- Alt + Tab to switch to the task window
- Alt + F4 Close the current window
- Alt + F to open the File menu
Browser shortcut keys (for example, Chrome)
- Ctrl + T to create a new page
- Ctrl + W/Ctrl + F4 close the current page
- Ctrl + Z restores the closed window
- Ctrl + N To create a new window
- Ctrl + H History
- Ctrl + R/F5 refreshes
- Ctrl + Tab/F3 toggles the next (to the right) Tab
- Ctrl + Shift + Tab/F2 Toggles the previous (left) Tab
- Ctrl + D saves the current page as a bookmark
- Ctrl + B to show/hide the bookmark bar
