Problems in mining

Step 1: configure overseas monitoring sites

According to the main overseas target markets of the card, LastMile (real Internet users) monitoring points in North America, Europe, South America, Southeast Asia and other major countries were selected, and the browser dial test task was configured to conduct regular dial test on the overseas official websites of the card.

Step 2: analyze the target address visited by the monitoring point

Through the analysis of dial test logs, it is found that the CDN of the card official website in Europe and South America has accelerated the access to the nearest area, but the CDN in the Eastern United States and Southeast Asia has not achieved the expected effect. Further analysis found that the overall performance of CDN was also slow in the areas where CDN reached the nearest access point, so the loading effects of different elements on the official website page need to be analyzed in detail.

Step 3: Analyze page element loading time

Click the log details to check the waterfall diagram of page elements, and it is found that the loading speed of several pictures is very slow, which blocks the overall loading speed of the page. After analysis, it is found that the size of the picture is more than 5M, and there is room for optimization of the picture size.

The robot finds the following problems and optimizes them

(1) Accelerate the upgrade

Upgrade the original full-station accelerated DCDN to global accelerated GA; Relying on aliyun’s high quality BGP bandwidth and global transmission network, aliyun realizes nearby access and cross-regional deployment of global network, reduces the impact of network problems such as delay, jitter and packet loss on service quality, and achieves network acceleration.

(2) OPTIMIZATION of CDN nodes

According to the cloud dial monitoring report, the real-time understanding of the display performance of CDN after deployment, whether there is improvement. The performance and availability of each host node are stable. Whether the target customer hits the corresponding host node correctly or whether the matching degree is reasonable, whether the CDN node synchronizes with the source station, whether the element release is provided in place and valid for a long time. The CDN setting strategy is adjusted and optimized based on the above evaluation criteria.

(3) Page element optimization

By analyzing the download time, you can know the download time of page elements, and then evaluate network performance such as IDC and CDN. We found that the image files on the front page of the official website were too large and therefore took too long to download. And the CDN acceleration setting of static elements has problems.

Normally, the first screen load time should not exceed 2s to 3s. Screen load times have a huge impact on retention. If a page takes more than 5 seconds to complete the first screen load, users will mentally reject opening the page. Therefore, choose advanced image formats, instead of existing JPEG and PNG, and reduce the size.

(4) Establish an active discovery mechanism

Before the use of cloud measurement, card saving robots mainly passively obtain the operation and maintenance of websites by means of advertising platform evaluation or user notification. With the help of cloud dial-up, the website is actively understood, problem verification and fault recurrence are carried out, and website performance is evaluated and optimized. Through transaction flow analysis, we can understand the user’s real experience process, optimize the browsing path, dig the bottleneck and improve the conversion rate.
