March 8, China Association for Science and Technology (CSTA) officially released the 2021 “Science and Innovation China” Open source Innovation list, and selected 50 annual outstanding open source products and related institutions. Among them, OpenAnolis and Apache RocketMQ, co-sponsored by Alibaba, were awarded “Outstanding Open Source Organization of the Year”. Ali’s five open source projects, Anolis OS, RocketMQ, AliOS Things, Dubo-Go and MNN Deep learning inference engine, were awarded “Outstanding Open Source Products of the Year”.

This year’s open Source Innovation List is sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology. The review of the list has reached 1,869 open source products and 230 communities and enterprise institutions. After the review of 20 open source experts, 4 outstanding open source institutions, 10 outstanding open source communities and 50 outstanding open source products were finally released.
Two open source communities and five open source projects that Alibaba has deeply participated in and contributed to have been listed on the list, making Alibaba the technology company that has won the most awards in the open source Innovation list of “Science and Innovation China”.

Dubbo-go is the most influential project in Dubbo’s multilingual ecosystem and is one of the most popular open source GO microservices frameworks in China. Dubbo-go community ecology is also responsible for the maintenance of pixiu Gateway, Getty network library, Triple protocol GO language implementation, Hessian-Go library and many other sub-projects, and has a complete cross-language call scheme.
MNN is a full-platform lightweight high-performance deep learning engine, which extensively supports alibaba’s more than 70 AI application scenarios in computer vision, speech recognition technology, natural language processing and other fields, including Taobao search, Bealitao, Taobao Live, AR shopping guide, and so on, with a daily volume of one billion.
It is reported that since 2011, Alibaba has accumulated more than 3000 external open source projects, covering cloud native, database, operating system, big data &AI, front-end and other fields. He is a core contributor and maintainer of Linux, MySQL, Redis, JVM, Kubernetes, Containerd, Flink, Envoy and other popular open source projects. He has more than one million stars on GitHub. According to the 2021 China Open Source Annual Report, Alibaba ranks first among Domestic enterprises in terms of open source project activity.
