Many people have commented that graduation season is approaching and they want me to write about job hunting. I thought this was something you really needed, so I rushed you an article.
When it comes to job hunting, the first thing is to prepare your resume, and then find the company you want to join and send it. Many people ask why I have sent a lot of resumes, but there is no response? I want to tell you that if you feel like you fit all the criteria but still haven’t replied, there’s a good chance the problem is with your resume.
I’ve read hundreds of resumes in the past few years, so I’ve had a bit of experience.
A resume should consist of the following:
The basic information
Basic information is to write out some information that the enterprise cares most about, including: Name, gender, working years, record of formal schooling, contact information (email address + phone), date of birth (in general it is good to write a year), job, city, more than is needed, in addition to this if you have a personal blog can add with lot address, if you want to be, most added motto and expected salary, other information were all for naught.
To be clear, if you have content and projects on your personal blog and GitHub, you can add them. Otherwise, it’s just an empty shell. If you’re confident about your looks you can include a photo, otherwise it’s better not to. You don’t need to write anything else. I’ve seen resumes with all your blood types on them. I just sprayed it with salt soda.
Education experience
This part is simple, just put your university graduated from school, professional, admission time, time to write clear, if you have experience that is combined with graduate school, high school degree don’t gild the lily, do you think of your high school school might be very cow force, I don’t know your city high school, but also care about your high school?
Work and internship experience
Write the name of the company you worked for or interned for, the position you held, the time you started and the time you ended. If you have any work experience, you don’t need to write internship experience.
Experience in project
This is a very important part of my interview process, and I think most companies should do the same. Generally speaking, this part includes: the name of the work unit, the position, the description of the specific job content, the start and end time of the work, all the projects, including open source projects.
Here’s my own example:
Mint APP, Android Project Leader (2013.06- now)
“Mint” is a health and weight loss app produced by Menthol Technology, involving social networking, tools, e-commerce and many other modules. I was responsible for the development of the Android version of the app, acted as the Team Leader, and was responsible for the initial architecture design, 60% function realization and the whole project management of the app.

The examples may not be well written, but they will look something like this, explaining the project and your role in it.
What I need to remind you is that I try my best to pick up the projects in which I play an important role. What I am most afraid of is that this project is awesome, but at the end of the introduction, I am in charge of a screw part. It is better not to introduce this project. In addition, project experience is not necessarily a commercial project, but the practice project written by myself can also be counted, as long as it is a slightly complete project.
This part does not need to write too much, 2-3 is best, same time in reverse order.
Professional skill
This section should just list the skills you are skilled in, like this:
The following are my skills:
-
Android Studio + Gradle
-
Git, making
-
RxJava
-
Sqlite
-
Http
Two points to note here:
1. Don’t list your unskilled skills on the list because you won’t be able to answer relevant questions in the interview.
2. Do not use the words “proficient”, “use”, our CTO has been doing Ruby for more than ten years, but never dare to say “proficient” Ruby, you “use” something better not to say, I also “use” Ruby, Python, Go, etc.
This part is to get the honor, get listed under your certificate, such as English cet certificate, such as toefl, those small computer level 2 certificate what if, what I’ve seen a list what they achieved kicking shuttlecock competition first prize in the school, was laughing urine, I still had our village basketball game MVP!
There are also interests and hobbies can be mentioned here, such as basketball, badminton, football, go and so on, do not put Dota, LOL as hobbies listed on the line.
In fact, you can not change the above content, your own work experience, education, project experience and so on can not be faked, the above basic things are OK, but the small gap between the resume is often in the layout.
Programmer’s resume page do not make too complex, from beginning to end as simple and simple as possible, do not make a resume 4, 5 fonts, you see my public article typesetting is not very comfortable? I did not use any editor, is the most simple wechat editor, and then the font size, spacing, font Settings. Don’t be fancy, just plain black text on a white background, song style or black text is best, and pay attention to full and half corner punctuation.
Two A4 pages is more than two pages. How complex should your CV be?
I said just now, the programmer’s resume is given priority to with concise, simple, so choose the template also try not to get too fancy, want to give you some examples of the template, but don’t have time to find, if you really need to get dry and conveniently, please click the GG, let me see your passion, after I spend some time to help you find out.
In fact, when I look at your resume, I want to know the following: Are you qualified for this job? Are you motivated? Are you proactive enough? Is there potential? If you can’t do that much, make sure you keep it simple, right? Besides, you sent your resume to the company. Do you at least remember the name of the company and what it does? I had a telephone interview with a person and said, “Hello, we are Shanghai Mint Technology”, and then the other side said, “Mint? I have no impression of your resume, I can only say that no matter how excellent your resume is, at least your attitude did not pay attention to this matter, there will be no follow-up.
In addition, many graduates or interns may lack skills, but their resume at least to reflect their own although is a piece of white paper, but there is a studious aspirant determination. If you have no experience and no professional skills, how can you impress them?
At the end of the day, the above is my personal summary and not guaranteed to be valid, but if you fail to do any of these things, your chances of getting an interview will be greatly diminished. If you do all of these things, chances may be in the details.
In fact, the premise of looking for a job is that first of all, you can be competent for this job, and then on this basis through the resume in the vast sea of people so that HR can find you, so we must first know that the resume can only add to the cake, and the basis is their own ability.
List of winners:
Yesterday’s article I selected 3 winners from the top 10 “praise”, “selected comments”, respectively “Peng”, “Mai Chao ⓥ”, “Lao Le”, please add my wechat “Stormzhang”, and then send me the delivery address, others do not add, sorry!
The winning users respectively integrated the order of appreciation of the article, the amount of appreciation, the number of likes on selected comments, whether it is a student or not, and the degree of familiarity of each factor. Yes, I came from my student days and I know that students are poor, so I want to specially support the students. Many people give me a message that is my loyal fan, often click GG, praise, message support me, I also see, can only say that the face of the familiar students too much, I can not help, the face of the familiar has not got the understanding of welfare, there will be more benefits, but also please be patient!
