Last year, one of the school’s senior students participated in the autumn recruitment, and got Bytedance, Kuaishou, Ali, Meituan… And so on the Offer of 7 big factories, before this, the senior has been “unknown”, basically can be said to be famous in the autumn recruitment war, become the envy of many younger students.

This year, with the impact of the epidemic, the employment situation is not optimistic, so the preparation for autumn recruitment becomes particularly important, after all, the first company after graduation determines the starting point of future work. To this end, I specially invited this senior to share, because he finally chose Bytedance, so I took Bytedance as an example to share some experience.

1. Bytedance doesn’t really care what programming language a candidate uses. The logic is simple. Of course, if you find it difficult, chances are you won’t pass the interview.

2. There will be at least 3 rounds of technical questions in the entire interview process, and algorithms will be examined in each round. It doesn’t matter if you’re an engineer or an architect.

3. Why so many algorithms? In fact, the core is to see whether the candidate is smart enough. Like Netflix, byteDance needs to be smart to hire engineers.

4. How to test algorithms? There are usually two steps. The first step is for you to say the idea, and the second step is for you to write the code. Bytedance’s algorithm questions generally correspond to LeetCode’s intermediate mode, and you’ll definitely need to spend time preparing for an interview.

5. When writing algorithmic code, you can use a whiteboard, a computer, whatever. A common pattern is to give you 20 minutes to write down a solution to a problem. Of course, the sooner you can do it, the better. It shows how skilled you are.

6. Don’t feel nervous if you don’t get it right. Tension is an excuse, the core is still not skilled, not proficient. Knowing molecules is useless. Expertise and proficiency are key.

7. When writing code, don’t think it’s just your algorithm. The interviewer will also examine your programming habits, such as whether you like to use Pinyin for variable names and whether your code structure is bad. And so on.

8. In terms of education, like most Internet companies, you start with a bachelor’s degree. Good schools are a plus.

From these communication results, byte is more about examining the basic skills of technical personnel. With solid basic skills, they are smart enough and have certain soft skills, so they can do anything related to technology. They require professionalism and proficiency in this area. You can’t be a knowing molecule.

Soft skills can be difficult to improve for a while, but hard skills like algorithms can be improved with the right approach and training. Algorithms are not the only test point, but they are required.

It may not be necessary to get an Offer from seven big companies, but who wouldn’t want to join a big company like Bytedance?

Share a set of algorithms, if you can solve the algorithm, nothing can be done in the work. So, if you have an idea, masturbate. Add small assistant VX: Xuanwo008
